  Savannah Getaway

  My wife and I had a wonderful weekend getaway trip to Savannah and the Amethyst Inn. Three nights in a beautiful home. Chemise was a very gracious hostess and made us feel very welcome and at home. She made us excellent breakfast every day and made sure if we had any special dietary restrictions she would accomodat us. The house is very clean and comfortable. They have a private garden pool and a great kitchen where you can warm your leftovers from any of the fantastic restaurants you might visit. We met some other nice couples at safe distance and we had private bathroom so we felt safe during our visit. We might or might not have had friendly spiritual visit during our last night Close walking distance to the Cathedral and Forsythe Park but we usually ride shared or took the trolley to the riverfront. Expect some stairs in a Victorian three story house. But all in all it was a great visit and we would go back!!!

  Valentines Weekend Getaway

  I will say that I was very disappointed in the stay at Amethyst Garden as the rooms were definitely not worth $ 245 per night plus a $75 cleaning fee. The room was not that clean it said that each room (the Begonia) had a refrigerator in it and there was no fridge. I then called to ask about breakfast times and was told they werent doing breakfast service right now. However, there Covid 19 Special statement states that capacity has been reduced by 50% to allow for distancing at breakfast. I would not recommend staying here with all the other options in Savannah.

  Adorable place with character, and in a perfect location

  We will definitely be back. We had a spacious, clean suite in a quiet neighborhood. We parked the car when we arrived and didnt need it the entire weekend. We were able to walk everywhere. During the day, we walked to Forsyth Park, and in the evening were able to walk downtown easily for dinner/drinks. It felt as if we were residents - not tourist guests in a typical hotel.

  Disappointed

  we we redisappoint that the Inn wasn't serving breakfast and we were not permitted in the common areas of the Inn. I found a condom wrapper on the side rail of the bed and killed a giant palmetto bug in the bathroom. When we went around to the pool we found it to be dirty.

  false advertising

  Unfortunately we cancelled our reservation to this Inn due to the fact they do not serve breakfast. It isnt stated on the website, and had to find out through a review here. I have no doubt it is a lovely place, but it should be updated on the web and price adjusted accordingly. It took 2 weeks and 4 calls to cancel. Maybe next time when it is all up and running, we will visit.
