  Small room, lots of noise

  We booked 2 rooms for a weeken stay. 1 room was at top floor and our room in basement. Room at top floor was nice and spacious, our room very small, very small window and below reception, so a lot of foodstep noise (wooden floors). WiFi was good, staff was friendly and room was clean. There was no price difference between our 2 rooms, very strange as big difference in quality.

  Staff lovely, hotel not so much

  I stayed here while working in Sale. Thankfully, it was just the one night and I didnt have to pay for it out my own pocket! The staff were very friendly, really welcoming. Unfortunately thats where the positives end. My room was a basement room, which as I am 63 I could barely stand up straight in, and I had to shower basically kneeling in order to wash my hair. As it is a basement, all water and waste was pumped out through a septic system, which made a lot of noise in the middle of the night, good job I couldnt sleep! The door was as if it was not measured, it let all the light noise and cold air in from the hall, again good job I couldnt sleep! I could hear everything that was happening from outside my room, in every direction....I could even hear the person in the room next to me go to the toilet! Again, good job I couldnt sleep, the bed and pillows were not comfortable at all. All in all, I think theres certain places where basement rooms dont work, and this was one of them. My work had generously booked me in for breakfast in the morning, which was ok at best, but the little condiments they had were out of date!!!! Again, really friendly staff, but the management definitely need to rethink a few things.

  Three nights Stay

  I stayed three nights in this hotel and got a clean and nice room on the top floor and provided clean towels and shower gels. Sale high street is only a three to four minutes walk. Most of the shops like Tesco and Sainsbury`s are within walking distance. There was a gym opposite the hotel, but unfortunately, it was closed due to lockdown. It is an excellent place if you want to stay in a friendly and quiet location.

  Steer Clear of Basement Rooms!

  Our room was so damp that when we got up in the morning our clothes which were out on the side were wet through and I had to dry my things with a hair dryer. There was a crack in the ceiling which was leaking when we turned the shower on and the carpet was soaking wet as a result in that part of the room. The 1 star is only because the receptionist accommodated for our late arrival but he was not too friendly or helpful. The bathroom was dirty (dust and dead insects on the floor) and the sheets weren't as clean as I would expect. We deliberately shut the window when we left to keep our things safe (as it is on ground level) but when we got back we found housekeeping had left it wide open with our suitcase free for taking if anyone wanted it. If we hadn't have arrived so late and weren't so stressed/tired on arrival I'm sure we would have booked elsewhere but we did check out a day early as we couldn't stay another minute it was so grim. The upper floors may be better but I would definitely not return or recommend to anyone unless totally stuck for a place to stay.

  Very Convenient

  The hotel was great for a reasonably fair price, and the room was spotless and precious. It was very close to my workplace. The staff was friendly and helpful as he helped me with my luggage. I would highly recommend this place. "
