Good ValueWe stayed here November for a short break, the location was good in terms of it is right next to (or on) the train station. It might however be a little too far out of Berlin for those wishing to have an evening walk around since it takes around 20 minutes by train to get to the most central parts of Berlin. Hotel itself though was very good, and when we checked in we were offered the option of either a larger room, overlooking the train line (could be noisey) or a quieter room overlooking the road at the front. We opted for the larger room overlooking the railway. As we don't mind a certain amount of noise during the night this was ok for us, but if you are a light sleeper, I would beware, that the last train is at about 1:30am and the first train around 4 am, so if noise is an issue room selection might be an issue. Staff were very friendly, after checking in we were asked if we wanted anything to eat, as it was a quiet Monday evening and the kitchen was going to close, but they would keep it open if we wanted. Around the hotel is a good cheap restaurant for a quick burget style meal, bakery for cakes and breads and a shop for snacks, water. beer, wine etc. During warmer months the location would be ideal for boat trips along the lake Wannsee as the boats are a very short 2 minute walk from the hotel. During winter months however might be considered a little isolated from the rest of the city.

Hotel with ideal location! The hotel is very basic, yet very clean and offers all what one needs, especially the free wifi! What is also highly appreciated: its ideal location: right next to Berlin Wannsee railway station and just across from the lake! At the end I can say: good value for money indeed!

Great Experience at Bonverde HotelWe stayed one night at a triple bedroom ensuite. Bedroom was spacious and very clean. Bathroom was very clean with toiletries and hair dryer available. Actually this hotel's name is Wannsee Hof Hotel and Restaurant. Location next to Berlin Wannsee station, just 18 minutes to Berlin central station by train. This hotel has good value of money as the room rate cheaper than other hotels in Berlin central. When we stayed at this hotel, we didn't hear any loud voices from the train that passed by at the Wannsee station. We can sleep well and the bed was comfort for us. If you bring big luggage, be watch because you have to climb stairs to get in the lobby.

Good value, but plan your food carefullyThis hotel, overall, is a nice little find. For the money, it's a good deal and well situated on the S1 and S7 lines to connect into Berlin proper. My room is comfortable and clean, though there is no land line, so coming from abroad it is somewhat difficult to reach my contacts here in Berlin. The WiFi is good, so thank God for email! The S-Bahn runs next to the hotel. I'm on the side away from the tracks, so the noise is not noticeable. I can see, though, that that might be a problem if you are a light sleeper. Request a room on the street side of the building. The food situation is the one downside for me. The only food within walking distance, apparently, is the restaurant on the first floor, which is not connected to the hotel. Arriving on a Sunday was a bit of a problem: Once the restaurant closed at 9, there was literally nothing to eat anywhere. I thought about ordering a pizza or Indian delivery, but it's not possible to order in, because there is no phone in the room and no one at the reception desk to take a call after 9. Oh, and apparently breakfast on Monday morning is a problem, too. If you are a vegetarian/vegan, consider a different hotel: the one restaurant serves...well...German pub food. Fine for what it is, but heavy on the meat and dairy. On the whole, it's fine, though. I recommend this place as a cost-effective option for your stay in Berlin.

Really Nice Stay and ideal locationAs I had recently retired, we decided to go on holiday for a week. We decided on Berlin. I had not been there since 1977! We were looking for a small comfortable Hotel and after looking through the Web, decided on the Bonverde Hotel in Wannsee. The name Wannsee was in the back of my mind, but I couldn't remember where I had heard it from. The Hotel is clean and tidy and the Staff is wonderful!. Smiling, friendly and helpful. The one thing I had a problem with was the fact that Reception and rooms are up two flights of stairs, which was a problem for my wife who has just had a knee replacement.. We spent one night in Room 9, but it looks directly on to Berlin Wannsee Station, which has trains 24 hours a day! It's not really a problem, the closed windows cut out a lot of the noise but I can't sleep properly with the windows closed, so I asked for another room. No problem - Room 4. The rooms were clean, tidy and comfortable. The Restaurant and Bar served nice food and drinks, reasonably priced, so no problem there. It may sound a bit strange, but I really like trains, so the Hotel was perfect for rail travel to and from Central Berlin. We bought 2 Visit Berlin Tickets, which gave unlimited travel on trains, trams and buses. Cheap, at 46 euros each. Car parking was easy. There is a small public metered car park about 50 metres away from the hotel for a maximum 10 euros a day. We used the train so much that it was 5 days before we took the car out to visit Glieneker Bridge and the House of the Wannsee Conference, which were a 10-15 minute drive away from the Hotel. I remembered where I had heard of it. I could ramble on about the Bonverde Hotel. It's a nice, well run Hotel with really nice staff members, Well worth a visit and great links to Berlin Centre.
