Affordable but not worth the troubleNot too expensive. That's the only positive thing. A bit out of the city. Smallest room i have seen in my life. They putted the three of us in a room not even worth called a single room. We couldn't even enter without getting on the bed. The employees weren't helpful at all. They barely spoke English and the reception wasn't covered most of the time. I cannot recommend this hotel at all.

Budget hotel, suitable for short stayBridal Tea House Hotel - Gillies Avenue South is a budget hotel that is suitable for a short stay, like a business trip. The location of the hotel is somewhat convenient, which takes you 5-10 minutes to walk from Whampoa or Ho Man Tin MTR Station. You can also take off at Hung Hom Station. Regarding the hotel room, you can expect it is not spacious but still can comfort you. We booked two double twin bed rooms and got a free upgrade to two family rooms. Overall the stay experience is fine. Regarding breakfast, we do not suggest taking the breakfast provided by hotel. For your information, if you wanted to include breakfast in your booking, it takes you HK$30 but what you have is only a break and a cup of coffee. There are quite some restaurants nearby and those have breakfast available and not expensive. Regarding the price, we booked through Hotels.com and got 10% discount plus 5% mobile discount. So finally we got a very low price to book the two rooms. Probably you can search over the internet (different hotel sites) before booking this hotel. At the end of the day, I would rate 3 out of 5 for the reason that everything is just fine.

OMG... low cost but theres a really good reason for that!Ok, so I travelled for a short business trip to HK. Didnt want to spend too much on an overnight stay when I just needed to a bed to sleep in. This hotel looked ok. Hotel upgraded me on arrival (I was in a suit so guess they knew Id need something a little nicer and, on reflecting the one star is a note that it was appreciated) But, and this is important for everyone regardless of your reason to travel: - The location is on a BUSY roadway. - The traffic noise doesnt die until 2am, seriously! - The building site next door start work promptly at 8am, and I mean you can set your clock to the site teams eager start to their day - The interior decor, wall and bed coverings was new 50 years ago! - the linoleum floor covering in the exec suite is... well, what can I say - the walls are paper thin so, when your neighbour turn all 6 lights out in the adjacent suite, you jump from sleep, all 6 times! Lovely people. Didnt dine here so maybe, thats a nice experience. Maybe, I expected too much. Just passing it on

Service should improveRoom was cleaned water refilled but no room make up thats still ok because its not expensive hotel. I liked location that a bit far from crowded. Service on check in day was ok, staffs can speak English she told me hotel has staffs 24 hours. I had a flight in early morning on the last day so she can help with that. Before check out day. I asked her to make sure we can get taxi at 4 am but she said shes not sure! She referred protest which I followed up the news closely protest will not start at 4 am. I was a bit upset with her then she started nicely talked. She suggested we to come down early at 3.45 am to spare the time which we ok...I also told her make sure the night shift will help us because during stay when we asked night shift to help, they kind of ignore, helpfulness (the fridge in hotel was not working and night shift said oh...its normal) On the check out day, I came down first, the guy at around 3 am was presented unfriendly face then he asked me the deposit slip to return my money back. I gave it my room to him then he said I came with other room then wait for other rooms came so he can return money. The thing was I will be ok if he talked nicely but his face and voice was not welcome. I also working hotel I never have any problem to customer! When you asked deposit you asked one time for 2 rooms when return...why complicated! and Im still sitting in the lobby! Actually this small hotel is not much bad but improve the service urgently.
