  Don't Do It!

  I booked this room online through Triunpadvisor! I needed a room and I'd rather sleep in my car if I known about...the violence, drug deals, vice issues that were evident after 15 minutes of my arriva

  Low Life Dump...!

  We had gone down to North Carolina for the weekend and we decided to go to Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina because we had never been there and we had heard it was very nice but what a nightmare trip from staying at the Budgetel Inn. Before I get into specifics do yourself a big favor and do not stay at this place because you will regret it for sure. We had made a reservation in advance to make sure we had a room when we got there and we arrived late at night and we went into the front lobby and a woman behind the desk had a real snot nose attitude towards us for no reason at all. I had asked a few normal questions what they had to offer there and she had the nerve, gall and audacity to say to me, "Listen, can't you read the signs!". I was too tired to argue with the imbecile so I paid the bill and we got our room key and went back to the car and went to the room. When we opened the door to the room there was a bad odor and stench of something really bad. When my wife went into the bathroom she yelled to me, "I found where the smell was coming from because someone had taken a really bad dump in the toilet and did not even flush it!". She flushed it and the stench had gone away in a few minutes. After we unpacked we both were really tired from the long drive and wanted to watch a little TV and then go to sleep. I clicked the remote to turn the TV on and it did come on however there was only sound and no picture at all. I fooled around with the remote a little more but the TV had no picture at all. I called the front desk about it and the imbecile had informed me there was nothing they could do about it and possibly someone could come look at it tomorrow or a day after. We both were very annoyed over this. The bed was very uncomfortable plus we were kept up all night from noise coming from other rooms and other low life's and pure scum out in the parking lot that were either drunk or high on illegal drugs. We did not feel safe at all and I had happened to bring along my licensed Smith & Wesson .45 caliber automatic pistol and I put it in my bed stand draw ready to use it if I had too. When we got up the next morning I had opened the door to our room to get some fresh air and I looked around and the entire parking lot was filled with trash and garbage and any dumpsters they had were filled to the top and overflowing like they had not been cleaned out in months. Plus there were rats and other rodents all around the dumpster areas. While I was standing outside our room some real low life from a floor above us was throwing bottles and garbage from his room out into the parking lot and could care less about it. We were both so disgusted with everything I told my wife let's pack everything up and get out of this dirt diving crime infested place. She agreed and we packed up and left the room. I stopped up at the front desk and I asked to see the manager and he came out to the front and he could barely speak English and looked like he had not taken a shower in a month or more. I explained to him what we had gone through and I demanded a full refund and at first he said he couldn't do it then I had to turn the heat up and finally after what I had said to him he refunded me in full and I told him we will never ever stay at this place ever again because it's not fit for any humans to stay at. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL TO ANYONE AND YOU ARE BETTER OFF TO SLEEP IN YOUR CAR OR STAY HOME...!

  Not greatnot terrible

  The rooms are not the greatest. There is an outlet that does not work and the shower isnt the best but to have a room on a weekend it will do especially when there is no vacancy at the beach. The staff are efficient in their job. The pool was probably the best part of the motel. Didnt see any bugs. Lots of people walking around outside tho. It wasnt the greatest but its not terrible.

  Run away

  Pool was green and unusable. Even though I called a week before to ask if it was open. Rooms I guess were remodeled but sloppy work. Mattresses thin and towels small. Toilet wouldnt flush and sink was backed up. We felt safe but just not the best motel. There are others close by that I would have stayed at.

  Pretty terrible

  This was never going to be a luxury establishment, but it was pretty dismal. The rooms are spacious enough but are not what you would call clean. The bathroom in particular is fairly unappealing. People make a lot of noise even in the middle of the night. It is fine if you are simply looking for a bed late at night but otherwise I would recommend a tent.
