Unfortunately, cannot recommend this hotelLet's start with the positive. I booked a room at this hotel because it was very close to the Breast Cancer Surgery Center which is only two blocks away. My 18 year old daughter was scheduled to have a surgery that was approximately 9 hours long. I wanted to have a hotel close by so that once released from the hospital we could easily get to the hotel to make her comfortable during her recovery. The hotel manager notified me and told me that they would provide us with a larger room at no extra cost. I was so grateful. I was also pleased to see that this hotel was hosting over thirty of our few and proud, (the Marines), while we were staying. However, once my daughter was released from the hospital and our cab was bringing her, all our items, and myself back to the hotel, I noticed a group of women, along with the front desk clerk, laughing and speaking very loudly and repeatedly saying things about Trump. I had no time for politics as I needed to get to the cart so that I could use that for our items and focus on my daughter. I walked through the group, as they were standing in front of the front door entrance, and into the hotel lobby. This seemed to be an invite for all to come in and more loud talking, laughing, comments about Trump and now, even about me. No, I wasn't wearing a MAGA hat. I went to the back where my daughter was waiting for me and still managed to have people that I am fairly certain weren't staying at the hotel follow to stand at the now back door making continued political comments. After I helped my daughter from the cab, she and I approached the elevator and got in and hit the button. No one followed us from there and I don't know what proceeded after. I'm truly thankful for the kindness extended me and from all appearances, they bent over backwards to cater to the Marines, but employees allowing protestors of any side into a hotel lobby is not appropriate. I was dealing with my own personal issues and I certainly didn't need this.

Breach of security / uninvited guessMy husband and I was in NOLA just for the weekend Friday-Saturday last minute time to get away for some R&R. We arrived at this hotel on Saturday around 3pm only for one night and upon entering the lobby/ receptionist area the young lady was on the phone (loudly) with another customer so I waited patiently till she got off the phone to be checked in. Never did she look up to say I will be with you shortly. By the time she got me checked in it must have been a shift change or people getting off as she was having conversation with housekeeping people that came through the lobby. Upon arriving to our room it was nice, cool and clean. We left for the evening to go have dinner and the gentleman at the desk was very pleasant in giving information about the streetcar. He took the time to give us his time and attention. When we arrive back to our room later that night to close the curtains we notice one was hanging away from the hooks and left a huge opening at the top. No time to do a room change as we were tired and exhausted. STRANGE thing!!!! We was awaking at 7:30 or 7:40am by someone trying to enter our room! If it had not been for the little square security latch on the door (use it people) they probably would have been meet by our other room mates Sweet Sadie 380 or Mr. Nasty Nine 9mm. Who or whomever it was had a keycard to enter!!! After they entered their key card it took the lock off the door. (Manger should review the security cameras footage or the keycard of their employers of the second floor for Sunday 8/16 between the hours of 7:30 & 7:40. I dont recall asking for a wake up call and if I am not mistaken the checkout our time was 11am. Maybe it was the housekeeper who was waiting in the lobby stretch out on the sofa having A loud conversation with the receptionist and did not have anything else to do but appear relaxed in the lobby and listen to the customers conversation with the receptionist. This is a very nice hotel and I have stayed here before but I WILL NOT be coming back. One is SAFETY and the other is POOR customer service by the receptionist.

Gem FindThis property apparently was always attached to the old bistro on St. Charles. The new team, especially Leonce is welcoming and accommodating. Parking is easy, rooms are exceptional, location is central and safe to walk to breakfast or dinner.

Home away from HomeI picked this place at random while we were driving on our road trip! This hotel was amazing! The rooms are modern with a classic twist. The guy at the front desk was amazing! Super funny and welcoming! I forgot his name but he made out first moments in New Orleans a memorable one! If you like boujee and budget friendly this is for you! We ended staying an extra day and we had no problems with booking an extra day at the front desk! My boyfriend says Im officially in charge of finding hotels now lol we definitely plan on ST Charles being out forever hotel in New Orleans! Oh and the hotel is right in front of the trolly stop which is a plus!
