  Ni fu ni fa.

  El lugar donde se encuentra es sin duda alguna extraordinario. En lo alto de una colina con impresionantes vistas al Lago di Garda y a las montañas. Solamente da rabia pensar que un pueblo como Limone, situado a la orilla del lago y en la base de montañas vertiginosas, tenga hoteles de tan grandes dimensiones afeando lo que podría ser una zona llena de casas tradicionales y olivos. El hotel en si ofrece buenos servicios en relación al precio. Solo decir que la calidad de estos servicios no es destacable. Es un hotel muy grande, con piscinas, y amplio parking. En la habitación (habitación económica), no llegaba la conexión WiFi, el armario estaba lleno de polvo, y para ver el lago había que asomar la cabeza muy alta. El desayuno está incluido en el precio, pero no es de gran calidad. Zona típica de turismo de alemanes. Punto a favor del personal de hotel, que hablan buen alemán. Aunque uno siente que está en Alemania y no en Italia.

  Hotel Cristina

  Stayed at this hotel for 7 nights. We had a Panorama room which had great views of the lake as we were on the 5th floor. We were on half board basis. Breakfast was buffet style with a good selection of cereals, meat & cheese, toast and hot items such as eggs, beans and tomatoes and hot drinks and juice. For evening there were soup starters, various main dishes, salad bar and various sweets such as cakes, fruit salad and icecream. Also included was a choice of red/white wine and soft drinks. If you are a vegetarian or vegan there was still a choice for you. There was also a snack time between 4pm and 5pm where you could get a hot drink, cake and biscuits if required. The walk into town was downhill and quite straightforward once you knew the way. Coming back was an gradual incline until the last part which was either steps up or a quite steep slope up to the hotel. A minibus is available during the day for 1 euro per person each way if required. The hotel has two pools you can use and we did not struggle to get a sunbed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

  Theres no denying that this hotel has fantastic views, but in Limone 90% of the hotels will have a fantastic view of the lake. It's very high up so you do need to consider if you are disabled or struggle with steps and walking distance. The hotel have a 1 shuttle service that runs every 30 minutes but we saw it full more than once and passengers had to wait for the next one. It serves 3 different hotels and only has 20 or so seats. The snack bar wasnt open when we stayed (25th Sept) so you're really forced into paying the 15 each buffet meal in the evening if you're hungry unless you go into town of course. If we came to Limone again we would definitely choose a hotel nearer to the centre. Even as able bodied 30-somethings we found the location a bit inconvenient and as I say, theres not really anywhere else to eat or drink nearby so you have to consider that.

  Superb view of Lake Garda

  We arrived very late at the hotel. Reception staff was very friendly. As we missed dinner sandwiches fruit, biscuits were in the room for us. We had a deluxe room with a partial sea view. But, we had a full uninterrupted view which was beautiful and was a lovely bonus. The room itself was partially updated and room was very clean. Maid service every day. The food was generally really good, with different choices each evening. The pools areas were not at all busy when we were there. The hotel had marvellous views as it was situated high on the hill. Shuttle bus was every half hour from around 8.30 am to 6pm, charging 1 each way per person. The hike up to the hotel from the centre of town is very steep at places and beware of taxi charges, as we were charged 10 euros from the harbour area to the hotel. We did walk up several times, but it was hard work in the heat. Limone is a gorgeous little place..full of cafes and shops. Our transfers were very long though. Two and a half hours getting there and a mammoth 3 hours back to the airport. Next time we will take private transfers if we ever return. We travelled mid September and were very lucky with the weather, although there were warnings of thunderstorms, we had none.

  Fabulous views over the lake

  Lovely hotel, serving great food, half board accommodation, lovely rooms with balcony overlooking the swimming, views over the lake, great evening entertainment sat around the pool, very friendly staff.
