  Some people call it Vintage

  I just call it crap. A hotel at sea (it's 5 minutes walking) without Airco. And with the slowest elevator possible. Also it's very noisy, the walls are paperthin. The bed is from the 80's i think and the shower from the 70's. Avoid this place like a plague!

  Simple

  Hotel well located in the heart of the city near to the tram station , the beach walk and shopping streets , rooms are basic ,small but forseen of all essentials ,reception setvice is poor , breakfast is vey simple but included in the price ,no more no less

  Booked quite a few days...stayed 1 night

  So turned up and boked into my room. It was dark and very small and di not reflect ANY of the photographs in the advertisements. i know that you cannot judge a place by that but I wasn't expecting what I got. the bathroom is so small that if you want to use the basin you have to stand outside. The shower head was blocked so the water squirted everywhere but where is should have. the toilet was reminiscent of an outside loo from 50 years ago. I have to say that the reception man did make me feel welcome at breakfast and really made efforts. He also said that other people had left due to the conditions of the accommodation. I am told that there are rooms that are nicer and have air conditioning. My room had one window that looked into the extraction area of the eatery next door and of course that's the smells and heat that you got in the room if you left the window open. I am at a loss as to how they made the double bed as there is no space around it, the bed was clean but tired. The carpet was clean but old and tatty. the furniture (a chair) was old and tired. I would not stay here again given the choice of that or my car.

  Hit and miss

  Just returned from a 3 night stay. Great location, very close to trams, buses, bars, the sea etc. Friendly staff. WiFi, which was free, was excellent. Breakfast ok. My first room even had a sea view and a shared balcony. However, the toilet in my tiny single room broke so I was moved to a larger double room on the fifth floor that overlooked the pleasant square. Lights on the landings are on a timed push button system which is quite disconcerting if you dont know where they are and scary when you alight the lift into blackness. I had to use the torch on my phone to navigate to my room feeling along the walls. Avoid the stairs at night as I could find no source of illumination. The lift became a running joke considering the choice of it or the dark stairs. I witnessed several guests trapped in it when trying to get to the ground floor as it would stop in between floors. Several attempts of going back up then down again had to be made before it would land successfully. I was caught when leaving for the final time to catch a train, and it was quite stressful being in that position. Overall I enjoyed my stay, but there were a few things that would make me question staying there again, which is a shame as the staff were really great.

  Old fashioned, great location

  +: good location, close to the beach and shops. Friendly reception. Parket floor, clean room. -: small beds, family room is one room not 2 rooms with a connecting door. Mattress was too soft. Breakfast not extensive enough. Not possible to get a fried egg on demand. Coffee was really bad. We would go back if price of hotel would be the same and if just for one night.
