    Great hotel

    The hotel is really nice, excellent location close to everything! The older blonde lady was really friendly and helpful with us and keep asking daily about our day! Seems she is running breakfast and reception at the same time, seems a bit much job for 1 person! The room was great (13) with large bed, big space, stunning view, the sink was blocked but that was a small problem only! Breakfast was great too! We selected this hotel as our favourite and we will visit each time we come back to Rga! Thank you

    Horrible end to a great trip

    This hotel is not recommended for English only speaking travellers. The staff do not make the effort to understand queries placed in English. Room was not cleaned once in a week long stay & towels never changed. After prepaying online with hotels.com and forwarding my booking, the manager tried to claim we didnt pay the morning of check out. She refused to look at our booking confirmation and tried to make us pay the full amount again. She physically blocked us from leaving and tried to cancel our taxi resulting in us nearly missing our flight. We had to pay an additional 100 for an upgrade that was never discussed before she would let us leave. This was pretty ambiguous as the room we received as a twin as booked. There is also a rediculous buzzer system where you need to call the managers mobile to be let in the outside door. This meant we were often left outside waiting for her to answer her phone for several minutes. One evening she refused to let us in which left us baffled and out in the rain or more then half an hour. She had to come and let us in and insisted we had used the buzzer incorrectly. However we did as we had done every other time that week. Overall I wouldnt reccomend the venue to anyone that isnt a local to Latvia.

    Do not enter this hotel

    First of all, the lady in the reception speaks very bad english. There has been a water damage in the hotel. We tried to complain about it and get another room with healthy conditions- the answere was this: you allergy, you medic. The lady told us that we should have told to her in advantage that we have allergies to mold. My opinion is, that there should not be any water damages in HOTELS. She also blamed that we would have caused the old (at least 1 month old) water damage by leaving one faucet opened (there was this handle in the room we hadnt touched, plus it had no do not touch- sign anywhere) The lady (I guess she runs the hotel) was very aggressive and started yelling at us many times. We had reserved the hotel for 4 nights but we had to leave after one night because the lady was so vicious to us. Other things wrong in the hotel: the lightbulb had burned out. We told the lady about it- the lady said well do just fine with the rest of the lights in the room. The room wasnt cleaned properly when we arrived, there was its prevous guests carbage in the bin. One pillow had no pillowcase in it. The view from the room was to a garbage alley in stead of a view to a garden, as we were told. There was a tub in the room in stead of a jacuzzi as we were informed. There was no air conditioning in the room even though it was said to exsist in the presentation text. We paid almost 400 and got nothing back. We wanted to cancel our reservation for the rest of the nights but the lady said: hotel no problem, you problem. Elizabete hotel was the worst hotel Ive ever visited, it wouldnt deserve a name hotel.

    Elizabete Hotel tried to scam our money after not having the room that we had reserved.

    Elizabete Hotel tried to scam our money after not having the room that we had reserved. Here is what happened: 1. We booked an air-conditioned room 2. Arriving to the hotel, we paid for the room 3. Entering the room, we realized it was not air-conditioned 4. We immediately returned to the reception and asked for another room or a refund 5. The receptionist told us there were no air-conditioned rooms and *promised* to refund us for the room fully 6. After leaving the hotel, we followed up with multiple e-mails but never heard back. I.e. the hotel *knowingly lied* to us about the refund. 7. Finally, after using an intermediary we managed to get the hotel to repay us.

    No communication and attention to the client

    We've sent some additional questions right after reservation but the hotel did not reply at all. The day before the visit we had to cancel our trip due to very seriuous reasons. We asked the hotel via booking.com and directly to cancel or at least reduce the payment but they did't. I understand the condititions but although they did not show no attention at all. Bad practice even we haven't been there. And we won't.
