  Family Wedding guest

  My son recently got married and there was no place local to house our wedding guest. We found Francies Inn and gave it a try. We were all very pleasantly surprised. The Inn is very cozy and exceptionally clean. The host went beyond in everything she did. We arrived very late after the reception and was able to go in find our rooms and set on the lovely porch and visit and unwind before retiring for the evening. Then in the morning we awoke to the wonderful smells of freshly prepared breakfast which was out of this world from the quiche to the homemade waffles, sausage,bacon,fresh fruit and juice and so much more. I would highly recommend this in to anyone traveling in the area and looking for a place to stay.

  I May Be a Bit Biased

  My Dad used to own this B&B and did several upgrades: Added a beautiful 3 tiered deck/back porch, beautiful landscape, created another bedroom on the ground floor, decorated, etc. He was a mechanic and arborist for all of his working life before buying the historic Inn which He sold after more than a few years due to how much work running a large B&B entails. As he said: "It was like having kids all over again, but having to cook for and clean their rooms and sanitize everything everyday." Not the retirement he was looking for unfortunately. Sadly, He passed away in Sept 2017 after years of enduring one of the most horrible diseases: Lewy Body Dementia. He is missed by many. It's a very nice & quiet place to stay when you just want to get away from it all. Smoking is not permitted however they do have an upstairs deck where you can as well as a few outdoor areas. Books, games and more are located throughout the Inn. The location is very rural however a very good option for people traveling to Carbondale to visit their kids at college, or anyone who has business in the area. The "Blink and you'll miss it" downtown Duquoin area is within walking distance.

  Lovely B&B

  We were in the area for our granddaughter's graduation from SIU. As all hotels in Carbondale were full, I branched out and glad I did. Deb was very welcoming. The decor is nice. The room was clean and bed super comfortable. Very quiet. Just a pleasant place to stay!

  Awesome Bed and Breakfast

  We had a fabulous time on this trip, with much of the credit to Debbie and Roland, owners of this charming Inn. Very warm, comfortable and inviting atmosphere. Breakfast each day was delicious and creative, our suite was roomy, relaxing and super clean! If I could give 10 stars, I would do so without hesitation.

  Carbondale IL SIU Graduation

  My son was graduaying from SIU, I waited to long to book a place and I couldn't get a room in town. I booked this stay at the last minute and I'm glad everyone else was sold out. Comfortable bed, room cozy, the electric fireplace was just what was needed. Breakfast was eggs Benedict, served hot and delicious. Too bad we only had to stay the night. Parents this is the place to stay when your child graduates!
