    Cute Boutique / quaint hotel

You never see anyone that works at the hotel. You breakfest shows up in a basket left at the front door. So it has the feel of your own apartment versus a hotel. But it is a cute place located in the heart of wine country. You will need a rental car to visit wineries. But there are many little shops like antique stores, bakery's etc. that you can walk to from the hotel.

A Wonderfully presented place to stay

Overall this bed and breakfast exceeded our expectations both in its location and the room itself. We stayed for 3 nights in suite 2 on the front of the building, it was a good sized room, with a shared balcony looking over the street. The room was very well appointed with a comfy queen sized bed, a lovely bathroom and good amenities. The only downside was that the wi-fi Internet very rarely worked and when it did it was extremely slow, as this was advertised as being included in the room rate, we expected it to be more reliable. We called about this during office hours and got the answering service who said someone would call us back, but they never did. This was the second time we had tried to call the hotel and twice our calls were not returned. That is a relatively minor point and does not take away from the fact that this is a great place to stay. Breakfast is delivered each morning from the bakery next door, with muffins, coffee and juice, there is lots of fresh coffee available to. Each night you get a bottle of wine from the winery owned by the family, which is a nice touch and you can visit the winery for complimentary tastings and a discount on the wine you purchase there which was a nice surprise. The hotel is well located in the town of Caslitoga, which is in turn well placed for visiting wineries in the Napa valley, with some very close by in the town itself. The hotel also owns the restaurant underneath the rooms, which is well worth a visit. We would definitely recommend this for a stay in the Napa valley and would return to stay here if we ever travelled in this area again.

    What a great secret gem!

Recently we unexpectedly spent the night in Calistoga. I was calling around looking for a place to stay and stumbled on to d'Amici. It is located upstairs from the d'Amici restaurant right in the heart of the main street and right in the middle of all downtown has to offer. When you call to get your reservation, or sign up online you'll get a secret code for the front door. Head up the stairs and your room is awaiting. We stayed in #4 in the back of the building. We had a lovely sitting room with A TV and gas stove that warmed the room and gave the room a warm glow from the fire. The queen bed was very comfortable and the bath was spacious with lavender soaps and lotion. In the morning you be surprised with fresh pastries, fruit, coffee and juice right outside your door from the cafe just a couple of doors down. Overall we had a great stay. The only distraction was the yahoos who where in the parking lot behind the room at around 2:30 am. But that is a hit and miss situation. Try out d'Amici you won't be disappointed.

    Good value and location

We liked our room and the location is right downtown. We always found parking on the street, and, it's an easy walk upstairs. Not recommended if you have a lot of luggage as there is no elevator. Our only complaint is the air conditioner is located in one room, so, the bedroom and bathroom can get warm during the day. It was 92 and hot in June. The ceiling fan was out of balance too. Otherwise, the breakfast basket each morning is awesome and the rooms are clean. We liked our stay.

Such a wonderful little pearl of a hotel

We stopped by chance and got a great meal! Best Italian in the state... ;-) the food was fresh and really well cooked and the attention to detail was meticulous. On top of the our waiter was lovely and so professional! I highly recommend it!
