  Mejor de lo esperado

  Desde nuestra llegada a Itaka todo fue perfecto. El señor Michalis del hotel Mentor nos fue a esperar en su auto al Puerto Piso Aetos para trasladarnos en forma gratuita hasta el alojamiento. El hotel tiene una ubicación fantástica, en el centro de Vathy (bonito pueblo y puerto) y se halla a 200 metros de la parada del bus público que recorre la parte norte de la isla (Stavros, Frikes, Kioni). A 200 metros del hotel se halla el pequeño Museo Arqueológico (de entrada gratuita) y a 400 metros está el Museo del Folklore. En los alrededores del hotel hay restaurantes, cafés y minimarkets. La habitación es grande, cómoda, tiene balcón y está bien equipada (con frigo y caja fuerte). El baño es limpio y luminoso. El desayuno bufé es muy bueno y variado. La chica de recepción, Bárbara, es muy amable, al igual que el señor Michalis quien nos llevó nuevamente al puerto Piso Aetos el día de nuestra partida y sin costo alguno. Es un hotel 100% recomendable en una isla que merece ser visitada. Tanto Itaka como el hotel nos han sorprendido muy gratamente y esperamos poder regresar algún día.

  Very Good but not the best

  The hotel is situated in a very nice position.The view from the rooms is very beautiful.It is in the center of Vathy and you have everything in walking distance . Very very friendly staff and very helpful,specially Barbara at the reception.THANK YOU BARBARA FOR YOUR EXCELLENT WELCOME AND FOR DETAILED INFORMATIONS. Very rich breakfast and good quality home made delicacies...like cakes,marmalades and rice pudding The room clean but small and the bathroom is partly renovated ,the bathtub is tiny that you cannot standing on it .You have to be acrobat or yogi. Hopefully I do yoga . The shower curtain was very close to the bathtub so it was touching your body that was very embarrassing Overall is a good choice for a short time visitors and in an affordable price,

  An all-season hotel. Excellent position, closest to the center of Vathi.

  We stayed there two couples, as we had to attend a baptism in the close village of Perachori, 4 km. up towards Mount Karaveiko (Mount Niion of the Odysseus time). The lady in the reception was exceptional and very helpful. Rooms were with plenty of space. Bathrooms need some renovation and an anti slippery mat in the bath basin. In general restaurant, bar and reception need to be renovated. It is a summer hotel with winter decoration. There are two rooms behind the reception - one with view to the street - completely useless. This hotel with new decoration and a visible bar, can become the best in Vathi and with triple income from the bar. As an advise, reception can be used as night self-serviced bar, as well. Breakfast was excellent and with the opportunity of having the lunch for 50 of the baptism guests, l can say that the food was perfect! We recommend when you visit Vathi, winter as well.

  Fantastic!

  I stayed two nights at Mentor, in Vathi and I can't wait to return again! Very friendly and helpful staff, very clean room with nice decor, super comfy bed and the meals at the restaurant are the best I've had so far. On top of that, the location can't get any better, super central, next to the gulf of Vathi with some of the most magical sunsets I've seen!

  Good

  We had a very nice stay at this hotel. The hotel is in a very good location with lovely staff, because of covid breakfast was a bit hit and miss but the food was nice. The room was lovely with a fantastic view and was very clean, the bathroom was a little small but looked like it had been renovated but the water system has not been upgraded so the shower was poor. Overall we liked the hotel and Vathi so if we ever go back then we would stay here again.
