  a very special and nice place

  Thsi was my third stay in this lovely place The staff are very friendly, and make you feel so much at home It's very clean and rooms have everything you need. The cafe has an excellent menu, and the food is very good and not expensive. I am looking forward to coming here next year too :-)

  9 days: great location, friendly, safe

  My brother and I stayed in the Charles Hotel for 9 nights over two stays in November 2019. We could not have been happier. Great location, fantastic kitchen and wonderful waiters, friendliest and most helpful staff we encountered our whole month in S. Africa, especially Lucille, one of the receptionists who went out of her way to help us with everything from car rentals to getting the best hotel rates and finding us great places to dine. We know where we will return to the Charles Hotel if we ever head back to Capetown, which we surely will.

  Best breakfast in CPT

  Hotel Charles sidewalk cafe serves the best bfast in Cape Town. The ingredients are sourced for their quality and using local vendors. Food is beautifully presented and really delicious . Try their bfast risotto dish ... u will be begging for more. Amazing service in addition to great food. Nothing is too much or difficult for the really attentive staff . Management is always at hand and extremely attentive as well . We were particularly impressed by the fact that the staff brought water bowls for my furry kids. Thank you again Justine N Mark for your great hospitality and service

  Best Breakfast in die Waterkant Area

  We slept at this quaint hotel and had breakfast there, the atmosphere is buzzing but intimate. I had the full breakfast option and my friend had their scone stack with berries. The resident chef Shaun suggested I try the "Shabalala Chilli Sauce" named after one of their chefs. I absolutely loved it. Hop to see it bottled and in stores soon. They also have lots of local produce in their menu and I sampled a vegan, no sugar coke. Awesome spot

  Best coffee in Cape Town

  I am never disappointed when I pop into Charles Cafe for breakfast and a coffee! They open early for us early birds, excellent breakfast the service is outstanding. Their coffee is from Houtbay coffee roasters which is of the best quality!
