  A lovely two night stay

  My partner, myself and Lily the greyhound were made more than welcome. Our room was large and comfortable with plenty of fluffy towels and a big bathroom with a hot shower. The beer garden is very attractive and dinner was excellent. Our hosts were very friendly. We will definitely be returning. We had stayed there before but it is good see that the building has been redecorated and refurbished since then. It was just the extra touch the pub and guest rooms needed to bring them up to a very high standard.

  Comfortable stay on Yorkshire Wolds Way

  Our ground-floor room was across a courtyard from the pub and well equipped for a comfortable overnight stop. Although the pub is located on a very busy A-road, the traffic noise was not a problem for us. We stayed on a Sunday when the kitchen closes early, but when I explained we were walking the Yorkshire Wolds Way, the landlord offered to save meals for us if we didn't make it early enough. Very thoughtful. In fact we arrived in good time and ordered from the menu, sitting in a spacious conservatory area. Breakfast in the morning was very good, with cereals and juice, plus a hot dish cooked to order.

  Little gem

  Had a three night break to escape the reality of the pandemic. Had a fab time. This place is lovely, ultra friendly, immaculately clean and really dog friendly. Ate three nights and enjoyed all meals. Breakfast is beautiful too. Would return in a heartbeat. Thank you to all concerned.

  Restful stay

  Would highly recommend The Gamton Greyhound. We stayed for 4 nights in a smashing en-suite double room which was spotlessly clean amd warm. The pub/restaurant was very welcoming with the log fire in the back room. The food was great to Full english was enough to see us through the day evening food was good too. What made it for us though were the staff and owners who gave us a warm welcome and it felt like our local in no time even though we were only visitors. Will definitely be going back to stay.

  Perfect Break

  What a great 3 night stay we had at the Ganton Greyhound....terrible weather but this lovely little pub made up for it. Lovely clean room, excellent staff, great service, brilliant food..breakfast and evening meal...well done Chef..and lovely bright and cheery owners! We loved it, even though it is on the A64 we didn't hear any traffic at night, it gave us easy access to Scarborough, Whitby and Filey and lovely drive over the moors. Thank you for making our few days away such an enjoyable time. We will be back. Louise and Nick
