  Stayed for two nights during Wimbledon Fortnight

  We stayed here for 2 nights last week whilst going to the tennis. The room was clean, all the staff were very nice and friendly. We were early booking in so were given free coffee. The pillows were a bit tired, but the water in the bathroom was very hot. My only issue was having stayed here before (but many years ago), I didn't bother to look at their website, so in March I booked a double room for two nights during the first two weeks in July. Less than 24 hours later, I tried to cancel my room, but was told I would loose my deposit of £200. I do feel that not only was £200 per night a bit steep for a small (albeit very comfortable room) and with no breakfast included, no where to sit and have a drink/meal in the evening. But to not allow us to cancel our room 3 months before the stay is not really acceptable - although we were given a small discount as a goodwill gesture.

  Pricey for Room Only

  I came for an overnight stay in Wimbledon and there was very little choice. I opted for JJH based on reviews and they have some parking spaces. I counted 7. I dont know what the other rooms are like but this basic single at £55 is basic, less than an arm span wide. There are tea/coffee and tv though. The fan came in handy in the very humid weather. The shared bathroom is unfortunately on the floor below! Not comfortable when you are woken at 2.30am by the guy next door talking on the phone and need to visit the loo! Yes the walls are thin and noise travels as it did when I was woken again at 5.30. If you dont mind that then the room and shared shower room are spotlessly clean.

  Courtesy and cleanliness

  I was charmed by this little gem. From the warmth of the welcome to the cleanliness of the establishment I was very satisfied indeed. I had a basic room (which still had TV and tea-making facilities) which had a separate shower room. Both were spotless and perfectly adequate for an overnight stay. The bed was extremely comfortable, giving a good nights sleep. The cherry on the icing was the attached Lu-Ma cafe which provided the breakfast - wonderfully healthy with not a single unhealthy option on the menu. I felt virtuous and well fed!

  2nd visit and I'll be back again

  I had the twin room and it had everything I needed. Comfy bed, excellent shower and tea making facilities. 5 mins walk from an excellent Indian restaurant (curry royal) and the rest of main town. Super restaurant offering healthy options (free coffee for guests). Polite attentive staff . Why wouldn't I chose this place for future trips to Wimbledon ?

  Disappointed stay due to rooms error

  We booked this hotel on the 7th October for 2 rooms to stay for the 12th October. One room for a double and one room to stay on the for a twin. We have our 14 year old daughter staying with us who didn't want to spend sleeping with us in a family room. So When we called and spoke to a lady she said we would have the top 2 room in the upper level so our daughter could be next to us. On arrival weve paid for 2 rooms and then was told they were on different levels. Having now to stop in the twin with my daughter and my husband on the top level on his own. We do not know London very well and was excited to be here and have a night away for us to be really disappointed. The reception said it was booked out. But to our suprisement the other guests checking in behind us was checking in the room opposite the double so we could have given us the twin opposite the double. Whe we booked this it was important to have our daughter near us and after being told we could that that's why we booked it. The man could have dealt with this better knowing she was a young girl on her own. Ruined our evening away.
