Winder Wonderland in Hudson, NY!We're about half way through our stay at The Wick and found ourselves in a winter wonderland! The hotel is a gem, we're able to bring our pup and it's the perfect spot to get away from the city for a few days. We've been working from the lobby / our room and the wifi is great, an ideal place to get work done. Each morning we've been greeted by the staff and help ourselves to unlimited coffee / tea. They are providing complimentary breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, and oatmeal which has made the start to each day a bit easier! You're steps away from Warren St and in close proximity to Hudson's best restaurants, local shops, and brewery. What really has stood out is the staff. With this trip, husband and I will make Platinum with Marriott and upon checking in, had a hand-writtten note and a chilled bottle of wine from Yvette. It's small touches like this that really make the difference and it's so appreciated. Rosie checked us in and was so welcoming, Sean has been engaging with us, offered restaurant recommendations, and has ensured we're enjoying our stay. With only a two hour drive from NYC, this boutique hotel makes for a great weekend trip, or even during the week if you're able to work remote. Highly recommend and will always remember where we've made Platinum: The Wick in Hudson, NY!

Aesthetically nice hotelWe went here for a one night getaway. The hotel is a converted factory. Its a boutique style hotel, but owned by Marriott. Ill give a pros vs cons list. Pros: Clean Nice decor Spacious room Free parking Close to train station and main part of town (Warren St) Bar on site Cons: Close to train station (train horn) DirectTV was out during NFL playoffs Sheets were uncomfortable Walls are thin. Every time someone walked by, you could hear them walking, talking, slamming doors. Our room was close to lobby, so I could hear people in the lobby all night. I didnt complain to the front desk. I shouldve known when I first walked in my room, when it was the first room off the hallway from the lobby that I shouldve moved it. I barely slept all night. I gave it a very good since the hotel is nice. But from a sleep perspective, it was awful. Its worth a visit, but get a room on the top floor so you dont hear anyone stomping around in the room above you.

Anticipating a wonderful stayUsing TripAdvisor reviews to plan a friends and family weekend in Hudson, we settled on The Wick. A location with great reviews and a bit off the more congested main street. The idea of staying in a location that took an old manufacturing plant and created a hotel has appeal. The hotel has strict adherence to Covid protocols (see their website). And Yvette at the front desk provided fantastic recommendations (including options for fantastic meals in Hudson). We look forward to our 'contact-less' check-in and our stay.

Unique MarriottStayed for one night to be fairly close to Hunter Mountain ski area. The Wick has a cool vibe on the outside and what you would expect from a Marriott on the inside. The room was super spacious and had a lot of nice features. I especially liked the lighting. Walk to main part of town for dinner was about 5 minutes. As a platinum I received free breakfast from a small menu. The egg sandwich and oatmeal bowl were both very tasty. All staff were very friendly.

Could use some TLCthis is a good option if you wanted to stay under the Marriott brand, however there are many other cute boutique hotels in the area. The hotel room needed a deep clean and refresh. Things like the curtain was falling off the hook and the tile in the bathroom was being held on by masking tape. There were also tons of cobwebs in the ceiling and light fixtures. The windows and walls are very thin and you can hear everything, including people outside talking, not the most fun way to wake up. The hotel could be really nice but needs some cleaning.
