  Simply perfect

  Great location, stayed in a beautiful suite overlooking the mountains, spacious spa, delicious food, very dog friendly (our basset was so pleased with the fireplace in the lobby), Ms. Polona at the reception desk was extremely helpful and friendly!

  Excellent Service, High Quality Standard

  We have been staying here in February 2020 in room 3218, which was for us a absolute dream. The room is spacious, plenty of storage space, stylish bathroom and a big enough balcony with a spectacular view. I can only recommend to stay in house 3 as it is connected with an elevator to the garage, spa, restaurant, the bar and the reception. The staff was super helpful and absolutely sweet. Thank you for making our stay so fabolous. Breakfast buffet was a nice selection of everything, Muesli, fresh fruits, cold cuts, cheese or some Austrian style sausage and much more. Evening buffet was changing every evening with a wide range of different appetizers, main and desserts. The restaurant is located above the spa and offers a beautiful panorama view onto the mountains. The SPa is huge and offers different Saunas, many shower areas, a fire station, and enough room for everyone to relax and find their peace. The outside jacuzzi has a good temperature and the views are amazing. The main pool is inviting for some laps. Overall a great wellness hotel, friendly staff, great facilities. I would always come back here.

  The wow-factor!

  This hotel gave us the WOW-factor. Very satisfied about our stay in the bergresort. An outside hot whirlpool and heated swimming pool during snow fall or under the moonlight with minus 10 degrees stays special. Great wellness facilities, delicious breakfast. Tried a few times the Nachmittagsjause. For just 11,- you get a great buffet with soup, cheese, sausages, bakery and pastry. We did not try the dinner but it looked also promising and varied. And about Werfenweng? Great scenery and a smart idea introducing the concept of the Samo-card. Vacationer, who are arriving by train or sending their car to sleep during the stay in Werfenweng, get exclusive advantages. With the samo-Card, transfers from Bischofshofen, Pfarrwerfen or Werfen train station to your accommodation in Werfenweng, as well as many excursions or guided hikes are free of charge. With the fleet of nine BMW i3 you can take a free spin around the area, for example to the nearby city of Salzburg, or enjoy the winter landscape, snuggled up in warm blankets, on a horse-drawn sleigh ride.

  we were missing the "charming" part of this "Travel Charme" resort

  We were ready for a full 3day SPA weekend, and left the hotel after the first night. We simply had different expectations. The real plus is the friendly staff at the check-in. A fantastic experience. However: Rooms very "simple" and not "charming" at all, really felt like a youthhostel rather than a wellness home. We were particularly unlucky also: Whenever we opened our window to the balcony, the cigarette smoke from other guests fully entered our room (..we are non-smokers and react quite sensitive to this smell). Food: The "Jause" as well as the 4-course-menue dinner seemed to have been prepared the previous day: All plates seemed to have been stored "outside" so that the cut meats dried out on the top, the mouse au chocolat had a dried out top etc. The SPA was ok, however also very "clean". That though might have to do with the fact that we are in covid times and anything "nice"might have had to be taken out. Very clinical and cold. We never really warmed up with that place and decided for an early checkout . This place however might be good for people who just need a home to sleep in and want to go out hiking all day (rather than the full SPA and wellness experience).

  Stunning location

  Bergresort is located on a high mountain plateau with absolutely stunning mountain views. The hotel is nicely furbished and decorated with a mix of alpine and modern design that gives you a very contemporary look and feel. Staff everywhere in the hotel is friendly. Our junior suite was spacious and bright with comfortable ambience, a big bathroom and a large terrace with great mountain views. Breakfast and dinner are buffet style with a great variety of food choices, food is very good, service is friendly but sometimes unattentive. There are often lines at different stations of the buffet and there could be more service staff on duty to clear tables and reduce waiting time for guests etc. Alternatively there is a higher standard restaurant available in the evening with a la carte service, very good food and a great choice of austrian wines. The spa area is fabulous with an indoor/outdoor pool, a great choice of saunas and steamrooms. The view from the pool and the sauna is magical. We would have preferred a couple of more towels available. Overall a charming hotel in a charming place.
