  Wonderful Welcome

  We stayed 3 nights here with out large labradoodle pup. The hotel was so welcoming. Meals for dog owners are served in the Cricketers Bar, 6 tables well spaced and lots of room for your dog to stretch by you. There was a Labrador, a Dulux dog, a mongrel rescued from Romania, all made welcome. One big extra plus is the quality of the food. The chef is extremely good and will knock you up whatever you fancy if you want something different. Tony, the manager I think, is very knowledgeable and helpful. The staff can not do enough for you. Youve got to try it. We are very picky on where we stay and we will be back here.

  Another brilliant stay in this wonderful Hotel!

  Apart from last year, when a Golf Society my Pal and I join, after normally two days here, was arranged nearer the South, we have however stayed here for some years: We join our Society for a further three days Golf, after winding down in the Worsley. A real hidden gem, in the picturesque village of Hovingham, suitable as a great base for the lovely Yorkshire countryside / North Yorkshire Railway etc. If you come to play Golf, the Kirbymoorside Golf Club, is one not to miss; there are however plenty of others from which to choose..Host Tony Finn will be happy to direct you. The hotel's mine host is ..the Tony Finn..dry Yorkshire wit..and his lovely wife, who really run a top class Hotel. The Hotel dates back I believe to the 16th Century, well maintained, but if you love Travelodge Hotels, you won't find much plastic here, as the Old Lady 'Worsley', is lovingly maintained to original standards..I had the four poster this time..slept really well, but as I remarked to the 'Finn', only thing missing was the Thai Bride! Food here is really good with a varied breakfast menu..effort is made to purchase locally..the 'Full Worsley' breakfast..do try..you won't need lunch! Evening A La Carte, is excellent too. Nothing more to say really, other than we will definitely be back next year to sample some great 'Yorky' hospitality. We're trying to get our Society Secretary to hold our Autumn event here next year. As regular clients, Tony arranges an inclusive rate for us..very competitive, as always. Staff here are also well trained, efficient and helpful.

  First Visit

  We booked initially for 2 nights but actually extended it 3 nights. We stayed in one of the cottages across from the Worsley and were very happy with the accommodation. Both breakfast and the evening meals we had were very nice and well presented. Tony and Sally run a lovely traditional hotel in a beautiful part of North Yorkshire. We will definitely return again in the very near future.

  Lovely stay

  Stayed here overnight to celebrate my partners 40th birthday with family and a friend. We were all put in the cottages across road from the hotel which suited us as we were all together. Rooms were a little old fashioned but clean and comfy. Evening meal and breakfast the following day were excellent and we couldnt fault the service. Lovely place.

  Sunday lunch!

  We visited for Sunday lunch before the second lockdown. As we were visiting with friends,staff made sure that we had two separate tables to allow us to social distance from each other. Staff were friendly and professional. The food itself was lovely and we will definitely return again in the future. All Covid procedures were being followed so we felt safe and secure in the restaurant.
