    BEST DEAL

That was my 4th time travel to Turkey and second time to Konya. I booked this hotel for my girlfriend and me just for 1 night from booking.com 109 Turkish Lira (25-26 March 2016) because we couldn't not stay more in Konya. We arrived at 7:30am to Konya otogar (main bus terminal) took tramway from otogar to Alaadin station, 10-15 min walking to hotel. About 8:15am arrived to hotel (After 2-3 times asking locals, because i fogat screen shot of google map for hotel location :) ) After eating great breakfast they check in us, This breakfast was not for our booking but in check out receptionist ask 106 TL (less than our booking). Breakfast was more than normal breakfasts in 3 stars hotel in Turkey. The hotel owner is a cultured old man greeting the guests in restaurant in breakfast time. Room was good for this price. clean and enough space and with A/C in winter mode but not nice view in window. Location is between Alaadin Hill and Mevlana Rumi Museum (Persian poet) and you can walk 10-15 min to both. Each floor have free WiFi good speed. Remember : Most of hotels in Konya Don't accept unmarried couples, but about Yeni Kosk Esra hotel it's OKAY!

A dump..Please please do not stay here???

What a dump. First of all the room was no bigger than a prision Cell. The toilet blocked the door from fully opening. The bed was poorly equipped with a sheet that did not fit the bed.The shower was as big as the room The owner well he was not helpful at all for advise on such things as The information centre or anything else. I was glad to leave the dump.It would have to be the worst hotel in Turkey.Honestly a park bench would be better.

    Nice surprise

We didn't know what to expect from Konya but we were pleasantly surprised by the hotel. Even though we had to take some underground tunnel type thing to get to our room, it was large and spacious. Very clean. The bath was big and fantastic running hot water. The hotel staff parked our car for us in their reserved lot which is locked up at night. It's walking distance from all the Mevlana stuff and if you're in the mood, try the pide from the little joint just up the street from the hotel. Excellent. Overall, very pleasant.

    Not what I would choose

Our travel agent in Istanbul booked my husband and me here for one night. He insisted that we stay in Konya, as he hails from this city and said it was a must-stay. We couldn't refuse. This is not a hotel I would have chosen. The atmosphere of the lobby when we first arrived felt like we were in a business men's hotel. There were snapshots posted on the wall of previous guests...all men in suits. I saw no other female guests throughout our stay. Our room was down a darkened basement, through the dining area, and up an elevator. The room itself was small and smelled of stale cigarettes, not great. In the morning I opened the window dressing only to discover a man walking away. It appeared as if he had been looking into our window through the slats that pointed downward from the outside so he could see in but not the other way. There was a construction site that was connected to our second floor which we were not aware of the night before when we checked in. This was one hotel I, as a woman, did not feel at ease. On the positive side, they would serve us tea in the lobby, my husband thought their breakfast was good, and, I have to add much to my relief, that there were snapshots of female tourists and more men in suits in the basement dining room wall.
