  Standard and adequat

  We spent 2 weeks in Lisa Maria in July 2012 as a family with 2 children aged 5 and 7. The main road leading to the residence is a busy one with an awkward turn (right before a curve) into the entrance (with a badly maintained path). We arrived at 13h00 and were happy to find that the appartment was already available (early July the residence seemed only half full - it got much more busy after 15.07). The receptionist was efficient and business like. The flat was adequat and fairly clean with basic bathroom, basic kitchen equipment. No toaster, no oven just a microwave and electric hob. + fridge /freezed, dishwasher etc...The beds are very hard... There was absolutely no extras such as bath mat, starting kit for the dish washer etc...you must provide everything yourself. Another weak point was the terrace (with a small see view), which was rather small and not much protected against the sun by the small parasol. We could not eat there all at lunch. There is no shop available in the residence but they offer a bread delivery, you can order the night before some baguettes, pains au chocolat and croissants to be picked up at the reception in the morning. The swimming pool is ok and well maintained but there are no umbrellas. You have to move with the shade, on one side in the morning and the other in the afternoon. There is a small tunnel under the road leading to the beach (500 meters away) which is small and rather quiet with a few bar/restaurants available. The one negative point was that the so called "laundry room" advertised in the brochure had only 1 washine machine and dryer which were out of order during almost our entire stay. When I asked when it would be fixed, I was told that the repairmen had been called and they were waiting for them (coming from "the continent"!!!). the attitude was rather businesslike, "sorry, you can go to Solenzara (10 kms away) there they have a laundry" ...Only 2 days before we left, the first machine was repaired and there seemed to be a second one installed as well so it should be better in the future. All in all, our stay was good, I have definitely stayed in better places but also in much worse. The price was ok for what we got.

  Simply correct

  Nice quiet villas close to a lovely beach. Pros: location and quietness for a not too pricy bill. Cons: as it is costumary in the island staff availability is limited to a few hours a day, even in peak summer season. For such a big number of villas the pool is small and with almost no shelter from the heavy sun. When you do the check-in you are given a roll of toilet paper and a very limited set of toiletries and soap as in a prison module. Finally, the day that we left, with no prior notice, we were asked for 60 'cause we did not broom the place before leaving. Silly. I refused and thus we were asked to do the cleaning that was going to be done anyway by the cleaning ladies that were already by the door waiting for our departure. We broomed the room and they left us go. What a way to treat costumers!
