  Well run, nice accomadations

  With the great bus system in the valley, you can stay anywhere and have access of all the recreation. We chose Alt Krone because it was deep in the valley and not in a congested area. The location suited us perfectly. We chose a suite for our stay. We had plenty of room and a really nice bath. The accommodations were about perfect. Our room was quiet except for the buses early in the AM. I sleep with window open. Half board is an option that we choose and the food was very good. The daily menu is in German only. The stall, especially the girl at reception, were awesome. There is not much English spoken in this area.

  Rooms average, Half pension not recommended

  We stayed there over the weekend with our family. Staff is very friendly and you feel welcome. However, the rooms are average at most, beds, cushion and mattress old and two soft. Toilette in our room so small that you could not even turn. Indoor pool has a splendid view on the mountains, and is definitely the highlight . SPA well equipped. In half-pension you can chose every day from 3 main courses. However, ´we found them of only average quality. Samller portions of higher quality would be much better. So if you go for breakfast only, you might be better off as you can chose from a la carte or go out to explore other dinner options, which definitley are existing.

  Relaxing in Kleinwalsertal early september

  We stayed in hotel Alte Krone as from september 4th till September 11th 2016. Its an excellent hotel: we had a excellent cosy room with balcony with view on the Mountains.you can always have a swim in the nice indoor pool. Bathrobes are available in the room. The hotel has an excellent restaurant: you can book half board or you can book bed & breakfast and have diner à la carte. Great food. If you want to eat outsider: no problem the hotel is located in the quiet center of Mittelberg. Public transportation is just next to the hotel and is free in the Kleinwalsertal. The entire staff is very friendly so it was a pleasure to spent our holiday there!

  A wonderful lunch spot

  We were just enjoying the drive down the valley from Oberstdorf. It seemed like a good spot for lunch and it was. Great views, good food, friendly staff. The food is traditional and that is what you want in this area!
