    No ir en invierno

    Es un hotel ubicado lejos de la ciudad, no ir sin auto. Las habitaciones son muy austeras, con paredes de madera que dan al exterior. Hacia mucho frio al llegar y la habitacion estaba congelada y humeda, nos proporcionaron leña para prender nuestra salamandra, algo que tendrian que haber hecho ellos, sabiendo que teniamos una reserva ; se nos hizo un poco dificil pasar la noche con frio. Lo peor fue al querer ducharnos, el agua caliente solo alcanzó para la cabeza!! Nos quedamos sin agua caliente y por lo tanto la mitad de nosotros sin bañar!! Demasiados muebles viejos y todo esto en medio de una selva tropical artificial que casi no permite que pase el sol y cree un ambiente humedo. El desayuno bueno y la buena onda de los dueños del lugar excelente. Lo que muestran en las fotos no es tan lindo cuando se esta alli. Esta lejos de la playa... En fin, no es el mejor lugar

    Quirky & characterful

    If you are expecting a plush luxurious property then this isn't the place for you. However, if you want a beautiful setting and somewhere with character then you will love it. Our room was huge and spot-less and the bed was really comfortable. There is also secure parking which is a bonus. The owner is new and only took over the place about 3 months ago and he said he is working his way around the rooms to make improvements but overall we were satisfied and given what they charge, I don't think you can grumble.The owner was really friendly and gave us good tips for where to eat and arranged the free shuttle bus to and from the quays.

    Worst experience in our lifetime

    My wife and I have been to over 70 countries and collectively have stayed in over 300 different hotels, Airbnbs and guesthouses. We have never ever experienced anything as bad as this!! Please dont be fooled by the photos, its not what you are going to get. If you are keen to be harassed beyond belief, arrive with your booking disappearing after you have already paid, live in a guesthouse where you pay a R1300 a night for the bare minimum, with red and brown stained towels and bedding, no curtains to keep the light out, open pool that is not child-friendly, with management leaving your room door open after cleaning to let everyone take a pick at your belongings, and an owner and management that cannot take accountability for their mistakes, you have the perfect place!! We are always sure to book in advance, and booked our accommodation in March 2019. In November we checked that all is still in order, and they confirmed that everything is still good with our booking. We booked the Honeymoon room for our December holiday, but when we arrived on the day, they said the room is booked out. They were also listed as a pet friend guesthouse, so we took our dog with us. We spoke to the owner over the phone before arrival, which was the first interaction where he said our booking is not available anymore. When we arrived, he did not even greet us. I said the booking is not available anymore. You did not make the booking through me so this is not my problem. Not sorry, lets see how we can help you. When we said that this is not a way to treat his customers, he said, and told said do not tell me how to run my Fu**ing business. Why dont you just get the F**k off my property." We would have loved to do this, but being peak season, we had no choice but to negotiate ourselves into another room. The thing is, he had rooms available, and could have just easily said I am so sorry about the misunderstanding, lets see how we can help you. When we walked to his office, he continued to harass me the entire walk. You have a cheeky girlfriend that does not know her place. I was in business when you were in F**king diapers, so dont come with your sh*t to me! There was absolutely no accountability of the problem, not once did he say he was sorry. We were then checked into the only available room they had left, which we never received a discount for. All the issues we listed above were mentioned, without apology. Just reasons, excuses, and further harassment.

    Out Of Africa!

    We so enjoyed our two nights here. we got to meet the owner & his son & new wife and had drinks with them on the balcony by the bar. The only regret is that we didn't get to see the monkeys that came into the dining room for breakfast before they were shooed out!!

    Manager cleared to cancel our booking but we were never refunded

    We had a booking in december and when we arrived the room we were designats was nothing near what our booking had said. Kindly the person i charge agreed to cancel our booking in a very polite and we were promised to be refunded but so far we haven't despite multiple emails and message. Very dishonest in my point of view. Would have rated it higher thanks to the polite person in charge but not when you don't keep your word. Rooms not at all as advertised.
