  Inolvidable

  Pasamos tres dias felices. La casa es muy bella, las habitaciones, las salas de estar, los jardines, la caminata a la Catedral, los coros en la Catedral, la dueña del hotel y su hija. Nos dieron la experiencia que deseabamos en la campiña inglesa. Encantados regresariamos a disfrutar Beryl.

  Great hotel

  Have just spent 2 days at The Beryl. Stayed in the Fleur room overlooking the garden. Hotel is a lovely old building and was very clean and comfortable. Attractive grounds to walk around. Complimentary tea and cake was appreciated, especially when sitting in the sun on the terrace. Breakfast was very good. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

  Lovely Country House outside Wells

  We started off on a rather difficult footing having struggled to find Beryl House, but once there we were greeted warmly by Mathew, given tea and cake and shown to one of the lovely sitting rooms surrounded by marvelous antiques. Our room was comfortable and the bathroom was huge with a wonderful old deep bath! Breakfast was generous and had something for every taste. In spite of constant torrential rain we enjoyed our stay very much.

  Loved this hotel, loved the scenery and breakfast. Loved the ambience of an old country house. Large rooms, large bathroom. very comfortable bed. Would return in Summer so can use the outdoor swimming pool.

  Perfect country hotel

  Visited for the weekend as a couple. Booked via their website for the best price. Good communication and all Covid-19 safety procedures in place. Easy to find on the sat nav up a little country lane high above the city of Wells, but still within easy walk of the main attractions. Plenty of parking and very warm welcome from Hollie. Tea and cake in the lounge before we went to our room on the first floor - The Master suite - a beautiful quirky and very comfortable room overlooking the garden. Big comfy bed, deep bath and fluffy towels. Breakfast was preordered the night before and served at our selected time slot in the dining room. Well cooked by Mary and served by Hollie and Matthew with good quality ingredients. We enjoyed a couple of good restaurants in Wells - the Fountain Inn and Rugantinos and loved our wander around the cathedral and the town. Explored the gardens and visited the hens in the walled garden before we left for home. Thank you for our lovely weekend from a couple of very tired guest house owners - Lynne & Andy - great therapy!
