  Fabulous hotel

  My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it was fantastic. The villa and private pool were fabulous, staff really helpful and view beautiful too. Its on a quieter part of the island which was great for us too. Would thoroughly recommend!

  The place to stay in Santorini

  The place is amazing, is not just that the staff is beyond friendly, is the attentions for the little details. The villas are beautiful, but also perfectly adapted to the surroundings, the views are something else. But for me the surprise came with the food. Normally the food is good quality, but in this case the food was exceptional. Unbelievable quality beyond you will expect, event in a luxury place. As I said before, staff go the extra mile to make you fell comfortable. I truly recommend it.

  Nice but stay Imerovigli instead

  My boyfriend and I booked a last minute trip to Santorini as we were looking to get some relaxing sunshine and we did just that. The villa itself was amazing, I couldnt fault it. My boyfriend said the bathroom felt very flinstones haha. The master bedroom really is a WOW. As Katarina told us on arrival it was very romantic. There is a super king bed with lighting around the base, modern drop lighting and a super airy feel about it. The bed and cushions were super soft and more comfortable than our own bed at home. Our villa has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a sitting area inside, a sitting area outside, a deck/balcony and a plunge pool which really is incredible for the price that we paid. The only downside was the location and the view. Ill be honest that isnt the fault of the venue but more our fault when researching. Your daily breakfast view is obstructed by two huge pylons and as we lay out sunbathing in the day theres quite a bit of traffic which makes it a little less relaxing. Quad bikes are very common o the island so thats probably the most annoying sounds of people revving round the corner. We stayed in Akrotiri but very quickly realised there is nothing to do or go to dinner in the area so we visited Fira, Imerovigli and did a sunset cruise from Oia. Without a doubt, Imerovigli had more what we were looking for in terms of views, amenities and not been over run with tourists. The team at Cape 9 were really great and helped us arrange a quad bike and taxis. For breakfast there was a lot of choice and if there wasnt something on the standard offers, you could request things e.g bacon. Most days we got the Cape 9 Breakfast and made a few slight tweaks. The Greek yogurt is the best Ive ever had, not like the stuff in the U.K. thats for sure! Id recommend Cape 9 suites and villas but consider what youre looking for first.

  Nice hotel but room for improvement

  We were really looking forward to our stay at Cape 9 and enjoyed it for the most part. The rooms are clean, comfortable and the décor is beautiful and well thought out. You have all amenities you could want, coffee machine, mini bar & fridge, TVs, Bluetooth speaker, hairdryer, etc... We were allocated Honeymoon room 7, which is lovely, but lacks privacy and has a view that is more so of the land rather than the sea. It also is partially obstructed by metal bars, which, I completely understand is necessary for safety. It was just not what we expected when booking and seeing photos of the honeymoon suites online. Since we booked I have seen that the hotel offer a Honeymoon Suite, and a Superior Honeymoon suite. This differentiator was not an option when we booked but I imagine this will help set expectations for future guests allocated Room 7. We made the mistake of asking if either of the other honeymoon suites became available during our stay if we could be moved. If it was not possible we expressed that it was no trouble, and that the room was still beautiful. We would just prefer the unobstructed view and more privacy from the main road. Unfortunately it would seem our request was taken personally and perhaps this affected the service we received for the duration of our stay. To be clear, we still received a good level service - I just didn't experience what I have read in previous reviews where people have raved about it. Upon booking we paid the full amount upfront. I received an email the next day saying they had tried to take our final payment for a July booking but our card had been declined. We had booked to stay in October and funds had already cleared from our bank, so I responded with the details to check no error on our booking had been made. The hotel had emailed the wrong person and assured me, "Everything is perfect with your reservation. And it will also be perfect with the occasion you wish to celebrate. We can organize a little surprise for your boyfriend if you wish ; ) I do have a few ideas in mind" Now, I do not expect a hotel to do anything for birthdays, but reading previous reviews and from the email I received, I was disappointed when his birthday came and went without a mention. I did call reception to ask for a dinner reservation for the special occasion and was given the name of a restaurant - there was no offer to help book or arrange transport as other reviews mention. We tried ringing the restaurant recommended but couldn't book as no one answered so did some of our own research to find an alternative. - Hotel is beautiful, particularly at night when it is all lit up. - Rooms are beautifully decorated, clean, and well equipped. - Food was nice and served to the villa. The kitchen however closes at 8pm. We tried ordering dinner from the hotel once during our stay, this was at 7:30pm, and we were told the chef had already gone home. - Don't expect a sunset view, you lose the sun behind the hotel at about 4pm in October. - Location requires a car which we had hired so wasn't a problem. - Road can be noisy and Room 7 is overlooked by the road. - The plunge is advertised as heated but was too cold for us to use during our stay. - Wine glasses and drinking glasses are made of plastic, Understand this is for safety reasons and probably essential in the family villas. Reading the handbook I believe glassware is provided upon request, but in all honestly I was too scared to ask. - Gentleman that served us food and breakfast every morning was friendly. Didn't feel particularly welcome otherwise. Cape 9 is a lovely hotel and has so much potential, but it is perhaps better suited to families. I can completely see why other people have enjoyed this beautiful hotel, unfortunately we just didn't get the same experience. We also stayed 4 nights in Oia and would recommend couples stay in Oia or Imerovigli for a romantic escape.

  A fantastic hotel with exceptional service

  We decided to take a quick getaway whilst we could due to the Pandemic to celebrate our anniversary and we were not disappointed. Santorini is a beautiful country and the Cape 9 Villas is fantastic! We stayed in the deluxe room which had a great view of the Caldera. Althpugh we had a slight problem with ants this was quickly resolved and we were moved to the Honeymoon suite which was amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed the villa, the tranquillity of the area and the heated outdoor pool. Katerina was a fabulous host! She gave us her time and attention and recommended us to a great restaurant and organised our taxi. We also followed her recommendation for us to have a couples massage again overlooking the Caldera in our Villa. It was perfect. Breakfast is served to you and eating it outside is just magical. I would definitely recommend hiring out a quad bike, we opted for the buggy and this, again was organised by Katerina. Thank you so much Katerina and your staff, you have a wonderful hotel and we will definitely be back!
