  great, friendly staff&fantastic restaurant

  we spent a couple of nights in this hotel, we were immediately impressed by the friendly staff. they were very welcoming and ready to help us in anything we needed. room we were given was great, a nice suite, clean and spacious. free internet in the room, 2 TVs, 2 beds...and a huge terrace! restaurant of the hotel is amazing..great food, fantastic friendly service..true italian style. if it had a pool we would have spent all day in the hotel. build it :) Gian & Ori

  High standard, great value

  This was a "pit stop" to break a long south to north journey, but Hotel Cecere deserves to be seen as a worth a detour. Other than Matera, a UNESCO World Heritage site,about 40km away, there are few obvious tourist attractions in the immediate neighbourhood, and we would guess most of the clientele are on business, as it is located on the main SS100 road and an autostrada access is close by. The hotel also has large function rooms and was hosting an 18th birthday celebration while we were there. Our room - we were given a suite - was the largest of any on our trip. We were not disturbed by either traffic (the hotel is set back behind a hedge and large car park) or party noise. The restaurant served superb food and the staff could not be friendlier or more helpful. On settling the bill, I pointed out the extra drinks we'd had before dinner, but these were waved away with "oh, that's all included in the dinner" - that was already generously undercharged for what we'd had. Hotel Cecere really is worth a (big!) detour.

  Friendly and Clean

  Spent two nights touring the area. The staff was friendly, the rooms clean and the meals good. Breakfast was included and was excellent. In addition to typical Italian coffee they had Cafe Americano which was like I drink in America. I'd stay here again.

  Hotel cómodo y muy buen servicio.

  Es un hotel en carretera muy agradable, con buenas habitaciones, amplias y cómodas y sobretodo con muy Buena atención. Nosotros pensábamos quedarnos solo una noche pero dado lo bien que nos atendieron nos quedamos dos.

  Diamond in the Rough

  We got rooms here at the last minute and didn't know what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised that this hotel in the middle of nowhere worked out very well. The people were very nice and helpful. The rooms were very nice and clean. And, it was a great base location to visit Alberobello, Matera, Lecce, and many other places. Plus, the food in the restaurant was terrific.
