  Remote location

  Not a very good choice by Wendy Wu for location. The restaurant had a good buffet breakfast with a good selection and the town famous noodles. Rooms were good except for the carpet. If you are a coffee drinker take some good quality instant it will be better than anything you are to get in China.

  A good mid-range choice

  My wife and I spent two nights here on a Wendy Wu 'Silk Road Explorer' tour. It looks impressive and has a nice lobby, with good quality fittings throughout. Our room (no. 1511) had a bar fridge, a flat screen TV ( the only English language channels were on the Chinese CCTV network), and too much furniture, making it hard to get to the window side of the bed. The bed was comfortable enough although a bit too firm, and the lights were good for reading in bed. The bathroom was very clean except for two spots of mould on the bath tiles. We slept well, although there was a dull roar from some 24/7 construction work in the distance. There was some tobacco smell in the corridors, but fortunately not in our room. The buffet breakfast has a wide choice of Chinese and Western food, including cereal with hot milk, and the coffee is better than average for China. The dinners offered plenty of choice, but the taste was too bland for our liking. There is a convenience store about 25m to the right of the hotel entrance.

  Pretty good

  On Wendy Wu Silk Road explorer tour. Room on 18th floor which is non smoking floor. Clean sheets and good variety of amenities- toothbrush, razor, comb, and normal shampoo, conditioner, lotion. Breakfast very good - be sure to get the fresh handmade pull noodles- made when u order right in front of you. Location not good. Room rate was only RMB 500 or $85. Think Wendy Wu could have put us in a more central location given the price of the tour.

  average hotel

  average hotel in Lanzhou but location ok as easy to reach local street or stall that has many local stuff or fruit for buying. the price also cheap. regarding hotel, everything so so but breakfast good.

  Very local management style

  Room is fairly basic. Check in was smooth. Resturant is very poor. All dinner need to be pre booked. Totally not flexible to change. Breakfast is serving local food. The famous local noodle is not up to standard. Also serving very slow.
