Nice place to stay in TasikmalayaI went to Tasikmalaya last weekend to attend a friend's wedding there, I stayed in City Hotel as per my friends suggestion. To my surprise, this hotel is beyond my expectation, considering that it only costs me less than Rp. 300.000 (or just about USD 22) per night, including breakfast, although I believe it could still be improved. Pros: clean, air-con & hot shower work well, the location is practically close to anywhere in the city Cons: Wi-Fi is not stable, not too many choices on TV channels. Overall, I feel satisfy with this hotel, and surely I will stay in this hotel again the next time I travel to Tasikmalaya again.

Kinda overrated imoOverall its average, maybe you would expect a lot of room amenities since its says 3 star hotel. But, never expect such things in a small city. They had some facilities though (pool, sauna, gym, etc). It says that they had a cafe, but its closed around 6 pm when we went there. We tried 2 rooms in 2 days and different day, the first one 2nd floor kinda good but we found some fungus on the ceiling which we can see it by their black spot. Next day we moved to higher floor which is a little bit worse because bathroom smell doesnt go away and spread trough whole room. Cant say i would recommend this one, but Im curious hows the executive suite room looks like.

High ceiling, high windowI stayed at this hotel back in Nov 17 while accompanying my little brother's engagement. The room was comfortable enough with high ceiling, unfortunately our room windows were high, about 2.5 meters from the floor. I knew that there's HVAC system at the other side of my windows but still, it sucks to get a room like this. Room tips: choose the one facing the road.

Good enoughNice hotel, nice lobby view, nice room, but not with the bathroom. I had a broken closet in my room, and the air conditioning is very slow. The television is too small, I can not watching movie by laying on the bed.

This Hotel is not even at 1* standard, it just shockingly bad!Where do I start, the pictures and reviews on booking sites are misleading, apart from the lobby the rest of the building should be condemned, seriously its literally falling apart, cracks in the walls. How can this Hotel possibly have a 3star Hotel rating? A ten dollar backpackers hostel is a better option. Ok $40 is cheap but I expect bed linen at least! The place is a health hazard, dirty sheets, no linen just a nasty smelly bed cover on stained sheet see pic (obviously I complained to have it replaced by another stained sheet and smelly cover). My room was a dirty empty shell half unpainted? No intercom/phone in room, no WiFi in room, no tea making facilities, no picture on TV, no proper bed linen,(wipe clean PVC pillows on bed WTF) no nothing Im shocked ! The building may be old and decrepit but there is no excuse for lack of hygiene, the bathroom is the stuff of nightmares. I could go on but I think you get the picture, do yourself a favour and give this place a wide birth. This place would give a dosshouse a bad name ! Why didnt I just walk out, torrential rain and other nearby hotels were fully booked, I had already prepaid due to reasonably good reviews on booking.com ranked as 2nd most popular Hotel in Tasikmalaya......really! (thanks guys). Ive never taken a picture of a Hotel room This time for the health and well-being of fellow travellers, I felt obliged to upload a few less distressing ones. Youve been warned.
