  Good and Bad

  The Good 1.The apartments are beautiful lovely location very well kitted out Dishwasher,washing machine, full size fridge freezer,jacuzzi on the roof terrace. 2. Staff in general are very nice. 3. The grounds of the hotel are lovely. The Bad 1. We paid half board plus we were asked every evening if we were half board plus to the point of it being embarrassing. 2. Our table was given away one evening but we were made feel we were in the wrong. 3. The card keys stopped working no access to the hotel (some of the solaz apartments are across the road not in the main hotel grounds). The intercom was not answered I had to jump the wall to get to the hotel reception. This should be look at from a health and safety point of view. 4. Men having to wear long pants at dinner this should be stated when booked seems very outdated(temperature was 30 degrees). 5. The hotel is not suitable for children between 2-5. The playground needs to be updated seem unkept and lacking any real play items(also small stones are not suitable for a play area)

  Experiencia maravillosa.

  El apartamento perfecto, cuenta con todas las necesidades básicas de sobra. Su jacuzzi y terrazas privada lo más para descansar y relajarse. El poder acceder a todas las instalaciones del hotel cordial mogan muy buena opción. Seguro que volveremos.

  Una de cal y otra de arena

  Estamos hospedados en estos apartamentos, son una maravilla en cuanto a diseño, tamaño, características, etc. estoy hospedada con mi familia y muy contentos despuès de estos meses tan estraños q hemos vivido, soy sanitaria y lo conozco bien. Llevo viniendo al cordial desde q mis hijas tenían 4 años y ya tienen 16, pertenecemos al club cordial desde hace muchos años. En nuestra retina tenemos muchos gratos recuerdos del Hotel Mogán Playa, de hecho teníamos una reserva para el puente de Mayo y no se pudo realizar por la situación sanitaria, nos hicieron la devolución de forma inmediata. Pero hoy es la primera vez q tengo un mal sabir de boca con esta cadena. Desde primera hora de la mañana dimos aviso q el jacuzzy estaba sucio, preguntamos si se podría limpiar y nos dijeron q si, q lo intentarían, tenían mucho trabajo. Es verdad q a los empleados los hemos visto desde la terraza, trabajando a destajo. Pasadas unas horas nos informan q lo intentarán para hoy, y si no mañana, lo cual no tiene sentido porque la salida es mañana. Llamamos a recepción para ver si hay posibilidad de q se arregle el problema, y nos dicen nos mandan a alguien, el cual ha venido y lo ha hecho, y me consta q tiene mucho trabajo porque no paran de llamarle. Gracias por su trabajo. El problema es q entre unos y otros hemos perdido toda la mañana, si a primera hora nos informan q esto es así nos podíamos haber ido a la playa, o haber cambiado nuestros planes. La verdad q esperaba una solución más rápida, y este comentario no va encontra de los trabajadores, les vemos a tope. Lo llamativo es q ahora q acaban de limpiarlo, y no tiene nada q ver a como nos lo encontramos el primer día, lo cual nos hace dudar de si estaba realmente limpio, porque desde el primer día nos pareció q el agua estaba turbia. Mi habitación es la 205.

  The ultimate holiday for us

  After staying at the Mogan Playa hotel for a couple of years, we had a look at these newly constructed apartments last year and decided to book a week there this year. First of all, because they looked absolutely terrific & super comfortable and second, we just didnt fit in the Mogan Plays family room anymore (2 adults, with 2 teenagers now counting as adults & a 5 year old).. Long time we were unsure of whether we could actually go because of COVID 19. But glad we went in the end. The Mogan Playa hotel facilities only opened on July 17, so first 2 days we had dinner and breakfast (and pools) at Mogan Valle. Fine solution. After that we could enjoy the buffet at the new Mogan Playa restaurant. Great choice! The combination of the comfort of the Solaz apartments with the facilities of Mogan Playa is wonderful and suits us really well! Admittedly, not all facilities were open (yet), but we didnt really miss the animation, kids club and bowling alley that much. In short; apartments really beautiful and comfortable. Good beds, nice showers. Enough space to relax inside and outside the apartment. And enough storage space. Also things like a washing machine and dishwasher make it such a pleasant place to stay. The jacuzzi is great of course! Very relaxed to have a drink in your own private jacuzzi. We had a 2 bathroom apartment, with 5 people the 2nd bathroom was really welcome! Only thing was that we had some problems with the airconditioning the first couple of days. Probably also because it wasnt used much the past couple of months. They really did best to solve it for us. But it got pretty warm inside. Food & drinks and swimming pools at Mogan Playa, what can I say: very good! Even new coffee machines at the restaurant with very decent coffee. Of course it takes some time to get used to the new situation where the staff had to put all the food on your plate and distance is required. Results: waiting lines for the eggs in the morning for example. No big deal, but hope things will get better as its getting busier. The Playa hotel really made the best out of these lockdown months by doing several renovations at the restaurant, swimming pools and some of the toilet buildings at the pools. Well done! It looks very very nice. Staff seemed happy to be back at work and friendly as always. We had the best and most relaxing holiday you can have given the situation. Thank you Cordial staff!

  El Cordial nunca defrauda

  En esta ocasión hemos querido probar los nuevos apartamentos con jacuzzi para estar más tranquilos y evitar aglomeraciones en la piscina. Con la situación del covid parece estar bien organizado, en el desayuno no había aglomeraciones. Entendiendo la situación que estamos pasando y la falta de turismo, no entiendo que la cadena no saque más ofertas para el turismo local, ya que en el edificio de apartamentos que estamos alojados de 10 habitaciones, somos los únicos huéspedes.

  Home from home

  Large balcony and great location with excellent appliances. Facilities of the resort were excellent. The breakfast which was included was exceptional. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Underground parking included and lift as well. Outside shower to clean off before jumping in your own jacuzzi!

  Exceeded expectations

  We stayed for two very enjoyable weeks in June in a one-bedroom superior apartment and also made use of facilities in the adjoining Cordial Mogan Playa Hotel. Overall we were very happy with the Solaz and would happily return in the future. We booked directly with the hotel after joining "Club Cordial" and received the discount (6 nights for the price of 7). We were also able to pick the exact room we wanted on a map!! Why don't more hotels do this? The Cordial Mogan Solaz is made up of three small blocks of apartments attached to the Cordial Mogan Playa Hotel. Each block has 5-10 apartments, with one block on the grounds of the Cordial Mogan Playa Hotel and the other two blocks just across a very quiet street next door (literally seconds from the hotel grounds). As far as we could tell, the standard (not superior) one-bed apartments are in an older block a few doors up the street and we did not see what these were like. Check in was at the Cordial Mogan Playa hotel reception. We received a very friendly welcome and a complementary drink. We had to pay a little extra for use of the safe (about 40 for two weeks which, as others have said, was a little much). After checking in, you can either walk through the hotel to the apartments or, if you have a car, drive around the hotel (and the whole town!!) to the apartments. Free, secure underground parking is available under the apartments and we found this very convenient. We stayed in a one-bedroom Superior apartment in a small block just across the side street from the back of the hotel. This is a small block of modern (ca. 2019) one- and two-bed superior apartments, each with a large sun terrace with private jacuzzi. The garage is in the basement and there is a lift to each floor. The private sun terrace for the one-bedroom superior apartments is on the roof of the one-bed superior apartments, which also have a large balcony off the living room and bedroom. The roof terrace with private jacuzzi can only be accessed by a private narrow spiral staircase, which may cause accessibility issues for some. Our apartment was exceptionally clean and serviced every day, if required. The communal areas were also kept really clean. The apartment was modern, bright and very comfortable perfect for a two-week stay for a couple. There was also a sofa bed in the living area. Overall it lived up to the impression from the hotel website and virtual tour. The kitchen had a hob, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave large fridge-freezer and several ways to make coffee and tea. (No oven but this was not a problem for us.) Overall, it was very well equipped for a holiday where you might mix eating in and eating out. We had breakfast most mornings in the hotel (with family who were staying in the Cordial Mogan Playa). Breakfast was not too busy (low season in June) and overall good with plenty of options. There are two large pools in the Cordial Modal Playa, which residents of the Mogan Solaz can use. We felt the pool nearest the Mogan Solaz apartments was the most comfortable, with more space around loungers and a more open air vibe. The larger pool bar/restaurant at the other pool near reception was better for lunch. Both pools had a gentle slope which might be important for guests with mobility issues. We found the hotel staff really friendly and welcoming, with very few exceptions. The Cordial Moral Playa grounds are very pleasant to spend time in, with lots of seating and quiet, shady areas, for example around the small chapel. Other reviews have mentioned cockroaches. Yes, we came across two cockroaches in our apartment. They were fast, we were faster. Get over it! There were plenty of cats around but they didn't both us (even though we are really dog people!). Finally, it was low season in June when we were there so the town was unexpectedly quiet and many of the apartments were vacant. Playa/Puerto de Mogan might not be for you if you are looking for nightlife and late nights out. But if you want nice meals and maybe a drink or two afterwards, you will be pleased. Would return to the Cordial Mogan Solaz without hesitation.
