  Closed following extensive fire

  Premier Inn have been poor in communicating with customers booked into the hotel following the fire needing to book elsewhere. Looking at the extensive damage it looks unlikely that the hotel will reopen in the imminent future. A great shame as it was the best hotel in Cribbs Causeway and was our default overnight stay when journeying to Cornwall. We are grateful that there was no loss of life and that no one was seriously injured. Photo shows level of damage.

  great place, near

  great place, lovely staff, bit hot in there that night, rip to the premier inn at cribbs, you will be missed, great location, lovely area, awesome room, went to get away from nagging husband, very relaxing

  Potential fire hazard

  Following recent events, I feel there should be an extensive review of fire safety at all Premier Inn hotels. I have stayed in several and a common theme is the sight of fire doors being left propped open, probably by the cleaners. Fire doors exist for a very good reason but they cannot do their job if they are not kept closed. The other issue I have come across is windows that don't open or only open an inch or two. In the event of a fire it would be reassuring to know that one may escape through a window if necessary. I know that cladding has been removed from a number of their properties following the Grenfell Tower fire, but I do wonder about construction materials in general and why the Cribbs Causeway fire spread so fast..

  Good hotel

  Stopped here many times and was my go to hotel when in Bristol. Sadly a major fire destroyed the building after it had only just been done up. Hopefully PI will rebuild this and it be as good as it was. Nice to go to as a good pub is next door.

  Just reopened. You need this information

  The room was spotless and everything worked. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending it. You need to know that they will not enter your room from when you arrive to half an hour after you check out. So if you are staying for 2 nights your bed will not be made up, your coffee mug will not be washed, you coffee sachets will not be replaced and your towels will not be changed. Reception will change things for you if you take then down, so my advice is at least to take tea towel. They are not serving food at present, will make up a breakfast bag.
