  Great City, great B&B, fantastic hosts

  My wife and I have traveled extensively together. I will not equivocate: Sama is the best accommodation I have had the pleasure of staying in. The B&B is spacious, very well taken care of, and has a beautiful veranda at its center. They serve a fantastic breakfast with homemade cakes, jams and they do their best to provide specific requests. One morning I asked for some cheese, and next morning we had the freshest, tastiest ricotta I have ever eaten. I asked if they had a specific type of bread, and next thing you now they went out to buy that specific one plus three other kinds. And in a nutshell that's what makes Sama great: the hospitality of Mari and Salvatore. They go beyond the call of duty to make sure you have a good time. They take pride in their work and their city and will do everything for you to have fond memories. They are such incredible hosts that when it is time to leave you will feel that you have left behind your family. We remember our days of joy in Lecce and its surrounding areas with a pang of nostalgia, because we wish we could spend more time with Mari and Salvatore. Do yourself a favor: Go to Lecce, stay at Sama. You will cherish it.

  Amazing B&B and amazing hosts!

  Sama B&B is definitely exceptional by its comfortable location, perfect service, regional speciality pastries for breakfast, comfortable bed, spacious & beautiful room and bathroom and by all means lovely and always helpful hosts Mari and Salvatore! During my stay I was the only guest in Sama, and I was treated like a part of their family. I am so thankful to Mari and Salvatore for a wonderful time that I had a posibility to spend together with them and their beautiful twins Julia ir Giacomo at the beach. I'm sure - they are doing everything that your stay at their B&B in Lecce would be unforgettably cosy. I would like to repeat previous reviewers' "utopuz" words: "Do yourself a favor: Go to Lecce, stay at Sama. You will cherish it.".

  Very friendly Service

  Although a system error between the booking broker and the B&B was the reason, why we were not expected at our time of arrival, Mari, the owner organized a suitable room. The location of the B&B is good, although not directly in the old town. The breakfast was outstanding.

  Great place, huge pricing mix-up. Beware.

  The apartment itself is beautiful, clean and in a great location, however we had a huge problem with the booking. Perhaps this BnB had never taken a large booking before (9) but it came up on our searches and seemed perfect for us- as we were renting an apartment it didnt matter how many people came (up to 9) as the price was the same, we just had to notify the host in advance. I booked for 7 in the first place and then messaged to change to 9 before we arrived. I thought nothing of this due to the information on the website and the fact I had already paid by card. I eventually heard back from Mari (the host) the evening before saying this was ok and that we could sort it out on arrival. The problem came when we checked out and we were told we owed triple the price. I disagreed and showed her my entire booking itinerary which had 7 people and 8 people on the booking and a total of 69 euro. We also showed her the AirBnB website which when we made a faux booking for 9 people again showed a total of 69 euro. She still insisted that we owed 3x the price. We had no idea where this new price came from as it had never been mentioned in any previous communication or on the website. In the end we negotiated a price with Mari but it put a dampener on our holiday.
