  So and so....

  Spend 3 nights at Ferien Hotel Bad Malente just for relaxation. The hotel is situated quite nicely, close to the charming village of Malente. The rooms are okay, spacy and comfortable beds and with a nice balcony, The bathroom however is a bit outdated in 70's colors. The buffet dinner in the evening is close to terrible, below average. Service all round is okay, one very friendly and helpful receptionist stood out. Nice place to relax, but do not expect fancy cuisine.

  One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in.

  By far one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Clean, warm and welcoming. Great food, helpful staff and a beautiful location. Stayed here for businness liked it so much have taken my wife over to stay 3 times. Will be returning.

  This hotel is no better than a hostel. It is so dated, dark rooms, bathrooms only have slide shutter type doors! Only provides small towel's. Poor drainage makes the place smell dreadful. Sealed up rooms with black tape to try hide fowl smells! Reception staff were appalling! We had 6 rooms booked were told only had 4 booked. Shrugged shoulders at our dilema and went on to serve other customers as priority! Turned out we had got 6 rooms. No apology, again shrugged shoulders! Booking in took nearly 1.5 hours! Booking out by 11am, but reception staff want to go to breakfast so not there! GREAT bar man however. Bar did close at 10.30 on friday eve! DO NOT STAY HERE unless you expect a 2STAR hotel and 1STAR service

  Check in NIGHTMARE!!!

  Receptionist could not find all my 3 reservations. I had booked 6 rooms she could find only 4. Receptionist very unhelpful, dismissive and rude. Would not listen or look at my reservations on my phone app! She insisted I had only 4 rooms. The receptionist continued to serve other guests whilst we were still waiting. Returning to me each time insisting only 4 rooms, telling me the hotel was full. It certainly was not! The checking in process took 1 hour and a half, we were not offered even a drink of water. Eventually my bookings were found. Not even a sorry!!!! Unbelievably incompetent. There is also a very, very bad smell particularly by the rooms outside the main building. The man who ran the bar and restaurant was very welcoming, helpful as was the bar lady, evening receptionist and lady in the breakfast room. These were the only staff we saw. The stress the receptionist caused on our arrival completely marred our experience. Even if our reservations could not be found or there were a problem, I expect professional courtesy as a paying guest!! Courtesy costs nothing to give but everything to a business. Watch out Ferien Hotel Bad Malente as with service like this you will have no guests and no business ! Shame Malente is a beautiful place!

  Very Nice charming hotel and fantastic breakfast!

  If you are looking for a minimalistic modern place to spend the night, this is not the hotel for you! This hotel was build during the 70's and is a bit outdated, But i find IT Very charming! The breakfast was Very good! Lots to choose from. -and you could make your own waffles! Eggs tasted great, sausages tastet great, and the cheeses was good! The breakfast makes me want to return! We had a lovely view of the backyard garden! There was plenty of free parking outside and the hotel has an elevator! The elevator is a bit small! I will try to Stay here again because i think this is a Very Nice place, with a polite staff and good food!
