  The Schwarzholz feriendorf holiday village is a small group of five appartment blocks in chalet style in the outskirts of Viechtach. It is a peaceful place overlooking woods and Farmland. There are nice playgrounds and due to the fact that the village is on a dead end of the road, kids are safe to play. There is a small inside pool for guests only. The appartments are relatively small but clean and comfortable. It looks like most appartments are privately owned as they all are differently decorated. Most appartments have really small outdoor space so be careful in summer when booking. We had a great time. reception is helpfull and friendly. The village itself is in need of a renovation as things get outdated and lack maintance (appartments, pool, childrens zoo). Animation (presented on the website) is a laugh. Only the youngest will last for more than a day. Never seen someone lacking so much ambition and creativity as the lady who runs the program. Each appartment has an underground garage, but as these are small parking places which sometimes are difficult to access (not suitable for SUV and vans), a lot of cars are parked in the village, causing parking problems and a spoilt horizon. There are a lot of things to do around Viechtach, so defenitely a good place to stay.
