  Great base to explore the island.

  Froudi rooms is just a bit too far to walk with bags from the ferry, but that's okay because the staff are happy to come and pick you up at no extra charge. The rooms are high on the hill overlooking the village and the beach, and it's about a 5 minute walk back down the hill if you want to visit one of the many restaurants or use the main beach. The room was clean and cool with a small balcony. All the things you would want including a large fridge, tv and air conditioning and free wifi. Bathroom was clean and bed was comfy. The owners are friendly and knowledgeable about the area. They are happy to give recommendations about nearby places to eat, hire cars etc. Very good value.

  Excellent view, good location

  Very clean room, and amazing sunset view from the sea-view balcony. It's a 15 minute uphill walk from the port which is convenient if you don't mind walking with your bags. It's located in Kamares, which I thought was the nicest town on the island, with the beach and restaurants less than 10 minutes away.

  Worth the steep walk uphill

  Stayed here three years ago and liked it so decided to book again this year. In a different room than before but still a great room. Very spacious, comfortable seating area, great balcony with views of the sea and surrounding hills. Everything spotlessly clean and in working order. Kettle, fridge, table but no cooking facility - which we didnt want anyway. Bathroom excellent - this is important to me. Bedding, towels fresh and clean. Landlord vet pleasant and friendly but not intrusive. Rooms cleaned daily. Pricing very competitive and worth the money. If you dont mind walking uphill which can be steep in places this is a great place to stay

  Clean room, friendly owners

  Owner was very friendly and helpful. Room always clean. Easy walk to Kamares shops and eating as well as the beach. Will need a car if you want to see other cities and beaches in Sifnos. Would stay again if return to Sifnos.

  Kamares' best!

  Sifnos is a Cycladic island just 3 hours from Piraeus and it was our holiday choice for this summer. We couldnt find accommodation in Apollonia, the capital and main town of the island where many restaurants, bars and shops are located and everybody goes at night, so we booked in Kamares, the main port and also the location of the biggest sandy beach of the island. Having read all the reviews our expectations were really high and I can tell you for sure that we were not disappointed in the least. First of all, the location is fantastic, just 200 hundred meters from the beach. The catch is that it is uphill from the town to the hotel. But when you get there the view compensates. We asked for a triple room with a view, and what a view we had indeed. Actually, most of Froudi rooms have a great view I think, but ours was looking over the port, the beach and the town, but most importantly we enjoyed one of the most beautiful sunsets every evening. Furthermore, the room was spacious, decoration was simple and pleasant and it had a nice balcony with chairs, a table and a retractable clothes rack. All the necessary amenities were included, such as air condition, fridge, small sink and a closet that we wish was bigger cause there was not enough space for all of our clothes. The bathroom was not very big, but it was elegant, pretty and up to date as it had been recently renovated. Cleanliness was impeccable too. Housekeeping every day, change of towels every two days and sheets every three. Last but not least the owners, Stathis and Margie, were wonderful people and great hosts! Dont hesitate to ask for anything, they are eager to help at all times. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and we certainly recommend Froudi. Perfect place, great location, incredible views.
