    Good accommodation.

Stayed for one night. Everything was OK. Room with Air-Fan. Shower and WC clean. Minibar included. Train-Station and Shop just 5 Minutes away. Harbour with boat to Geneva is 25 Minutes Walk. No Lake-View from Cottage.

    The homeliest say ever!

My family and I had a great time at Cottage Geneve. Booking was easy and very personalised. We called the hotel, and Mr Amoury told us the family suite was unfortunately already taken, but offered a great solution of 2 adjacent bedrooms. He also offered a reduction in price. The hotel is located away from the hustle and bustle (and the traffic!) of Geneva city, yet very close to the city (a 7km car ride, all straight). There is a gas station in walking distance where you can buy basic food, and a Migros supermarket which is a 5-min car ride away. It is on the main road of Versoix town, yet it's very green all around. And there is also an amazing pizzeria, Amici Miei, in the same town. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom super nice and clean with a giant shower, perfect lighting in the mirror, even to put make up on without an enlarging mirror, the window was onto the back garden which was green and with chirping birds - very romantic! :-) After a couple of days, there was Mr Neil at reception and he gave us amazing tips about Geneva, its restaurants, activities to do with the kids (parks, zoo, playgrounds, etc). He really went out of his way by printing us maps of some neighbourhoods we wanted to explore. Mr Neil also cooked us eggs and bacon every breakfast. The breakfast was delicious and had plenty of food! Freshly baked bread and croissants, butter, jams, Nutella, yogurts, a giant coffee and hot chocolate machine, fresh fruit, juices, and as I said, sizzling eggs and bacon upon request. The rooms very cleaned thoroughly every day. Ms Anna the maid was very fast and quiet in cleaning. She made our beds, cleaned the bathroom without messing up the order of my little cosmetics, she was very friendly and even offered her help to carry our very heavy suitcases. All in all it was a great experience which I would recommend to families. It was really the homeliest stay ever! :-)

Is Geneva Cottage worth a local visit and stay?

Good overall value for money and was our choice for three years over other competitive hotels in the area . There is easy access to the local train station for visiting Geneva ,or a short walk to Lake Geneva itself and all local facilities which are very attractive.

    Friendly, Clean, Good Value

I spent almost two weeks here on a solo trip to visit family in Versoix, and had a very pleasant stay. The inn was conveniently located for my purposes, and I found it charming. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I appreciated the many eco-friendly touches. I chose the least expensive room, which was quite reasonably priced for this area. As advertised, it faced the road, but because it was winter and I kept the windows closed most nights, I was not unduly bothered by the traffic. However, in warmer weather, I'd recommend seeking a garden-facing room. The bed was clean and comfortable. The daily room cleaning was good. The room had a refrigerator. The breakfast, at 19CHF, seemed expensive but I tried it once and found the croissants outstanding. The coffee and eggs were also tasty. The wifi is free, which is nice. A note to those with mobility issues: My room was on the third floor, and there was no elevator, so, if you'd rather not deal with the stairs, ask for a room on the first floor.
