  Great hotel !!!

  We spent there for a week and had 2 rooms. HOTEL: At a very good place, 150m to Calis beach, very clean. Neither discoteque nor loud bars in surrounding. A staff is smiling, helpful, willing to fulfil every your wish. ROOMS: a little bit outdated, but cleaned on daily base. There is A/C for free. POOL: very clean, but we prefered going to the sea. WIFI: working at a reception or pool area, sometimes at balkonies (depends on the room position) MEALS: we had a half board, breakfast is in turkish style, not bad. A dinner consists of a soup, one main meal, a plenty of salads, water melon and sometimes a pudding. Very nice! Drinks are not included, but you can order a bottle of water (1,5l) for 2,5TL or other drinks. SUMMARY: The hotel is great for people who want to spend a calm and relaxing holiday. However, you should bear in mind, it is neither Hilton nor 5 star holiday resort.

  Position of hotel great and actual pool nice, maid service great, but staff none too friendly. Most of hotel guests either German (majority) or Turkish . Staff at breakfast just stood around chatting so if you wanted anything you had to get up to ask. Our room was a nice size but broken handle on bedside table which was sharp, there was no light above my bed just the fitting, they did fix when asked, we didn't have water at all on one day, the airconditioning was unreliable, the hairdryer broken, the wifi was fairly rubbish, the parasols around the pool were an absolute disgrace, full of rips and bent and the stands were broken and not filled with anything, and only 3 for the whole pool area. The sunbeds were ok ish, but you had to get your own cushion cover these were not put out on a daily basis. All in all the staff were not welcoming. In fact we had someone just pop in to see us and they were quite rude to him. Pity nice location and some good bits but overall not a great place to stay.

  Terrible

  we stayed at Grand Vizon over 3 weeks ago, reviews have been been misleading. If it was not for this hotel we would have had a wonderful holiday. -Rooms Very dark and deprssing, over looking pipes , bedding needed replacing, holes in sheets, towels falling apart. Some days you had to request clean towels or replacment towels. Wet room very wet wet wet .................................. -Food Breakfast very basic , after the first evening meal we decided to eat out, some people had specical treatment and had been waited on , and their table had always been saved for them by staff, bearing in mind we are all paying customers. There was only one option at meal time. BBQ on Thursday Night, dirty trays still remaining in BBQ area on Monday. Cats begging for food at meal times, staff did not care Fridge in room, not allowed to buy sof drinks from outside, water had been taken away from customers, and felt like little children being told off. Some nights Grand Vizon purchased water from the local shop cost 1TL, hotel made a profit of 3TL Pool Area Urent need of repair, tiles around the pool are broken and lifting up, customers were slipping around this area. This had been our first time in Turkey, we feel our holiday would have been wonderful , if the hotel had been up to a basic standard. Would never retun to this out dated hotel ever again.

  Worst hotel in Calis

  Hotel Very outdated, staff indifferent at times, helpful at others. Room overlooked the pool and also overlooked the basement area with a lot of rubbish which we could smell. Room This was outdated, no plugs a for the sink, fridge was. The best thing about this room. Towels were clean but very old and discoloured. Room cleaners did their best with what they had. Unfortunately came back to the room one afternoon to find our balcony door had been left open by the cleaners. Pool Tiles in the bottom of the pool had black mould on them. Tiles around the pool were lifting and we witnessed a gentleman slip. As the pool was raised the sides wee filled in with concrete and painted over....not a good look ! Food Breakfast was 1 choice of cereal, sometimes a hot option of scrambled egg with tomatoes in. Turkish breakfast was always available. Tea, coffee or apple tea was on offer as well. Jams, honey and butter all came in small packs which hardly contained anything in them. Dinner was appealing, one hot option only, plenty of meze, but desert was cold rice pudding or chocolate blancmange also sub standard fruit. We are not fussy but we began eating out. All in all location of this hotel is good for the beach but that is about all. A lot of money is needed to bring it up to a basic standard.

  Ok place to stay. Out of the way but near enough to everywhere

  Rooms were clean. Maids were brilliant, everyday our maid had a different design on our bed, she had a great sense of humour, The pool was cleaned everyday/night. If you asked the staff for anything they would help you. Actually while i was there my bank account got hacked, and i had to contact home and the hotel let me use their phone to sort it all out. (3 hours) so yes Grand Vizon staff did do their best.
