  Nefasto es poco

  El trato es indignante, el servicio de desayuno, penoso no.....lo siguiente. Pedimos un desayuno continental, con un buffet que no tenía nada, y no reponían, pero nos dice que lo traen de la cocina. Después de mucho tiempo, traen unos pasteles, los de la foto y de malas maneras es lo que hay. NO IR ni por necesidad!!!!pesimo

  One night stay passing by

  We decided to stay in Haast for one night on our way up the West Coast. The room was good. Although there was no cutlery. The beds were extremely comfy though and good shower. The price was a bit much for what the facilities offered. Probably wouldn't stay here again.

  Lovely meal

  Awesome delicious feed here. We had tea here, it was very busy but the staff were efficient so our meals came fast. The weightress was very attentive. Delicious food especially the calamari! I would definitely dine here again when back in Haast.

  Overpriced but youre stuck as Haast options are few.

  Haast is a place many people would pass through, only staying a night because they have to so knowing this would be the situation I would be in I booked the only hotel that offered accommodation and food. The staff were all fantastic. The room was basic, clean, well used and it seemed clear that management wouldnt be putting any effort into sprucing things up....which would have been fine but not for $182.00; a fairer rate would be in the $90-110 range. Restaurant food was standard pub fair. I was leaving early the next morning, had prepaid breakfast and the chef was kind enough to get up before breakfast service commenced to cook up a wonderful hot breakfast. Thank-you.

  Bit misleading

  This hotel is part of the Scenic and Heartland group. We had just stayed in their amazing hotel in Franz Josef and were expecting something very similar in Haast. This was not the case! Putting a few new fittings and good toiletries in a tatty old motel does not turn it into a hotel worth $168 a night! Old artex on the ceilings, an ancient and unpleasant bathroom and some kind of wall heater that came from the Ark! The sheets were clean, so were the towels, but some getting tatty on the edges. The whole room could have done with a more thorough clean to be honest. The staff were friendly and polite and we enjoyed seeing the area. There is a beach nearby that was lovely for a long walk and lots of natural beauty all around. The food was tasty and cooked well but the ingredients were not the highest quality. So, lovely people, but the hotel chain needs to completely refurbish these old motel rooms. A new carpet doesn't go far enough!
