  This new hotel is quietly locaed just 5mn walk from he old city. The room are simple and fonctional. However cleanliness was not without reproach. The carpet was very stained and the cleaner had not been passed on arrival (neither the next day for our 2nd night). The bathroom was dirty with traces of toothpaste from the previous occupant and dirty toilet paper. We also found a drug box attached to the outlet of the air conditioning !! I don't necessarily recommend this hotel which is far from the usual IHG standards.

  Poor All Round

  Holiday Inn Express are priced at a premium to other budget hotel chains in China. However at this location what you are actually paying a premium for isn't clear. Firstly the staff speak no English at all, so one can't be paying for an international hotel. The heating in our room didn't work at all on the first day of our stay and the room was freezing. And finally, the breakfast was at the poor end of the scale for this chain. All in all, there is nothing premium here, so stay elsewhere. You will get something similar for less money.

  Holiday with poor room condition which makes us uncomfortable

  The initial room with cement screed peeling & not painted. The toilet exhaust grille full of dust, the whole floor filled with thinner paint smell. We request change of room and was move to second floor and less smell but room carpet with red stained and carpet not vacuum properly. As we were tired thus we just accept it and will not use this hotel in future. Convenience walking to the old town & river.

  Good location

  The location is great, within walking distance to Dujiangyan. The staff is friendly and helpful. But there is only one receptionist which undermines efficiency somehow. The breakfast is good but not great. There is a variety of selection and the pickles are very tasty. In general, it is of a great value.

  Very inexpensive hotel in good location

  The Holiday Inn Express Dujiangyan is an IHG Express Hotel - hence, you may not have too high expectations as the price is really inexpensive. The rooms are ok but certainly not high end.l and frequented by tourist groups. Nevertheless, I believe that it is a good choice to stay as service was very friendly and professional - surprisingly, the English skills of the staff was very good which is really helpful and appreciated.
