Super clean roomI stayed one night. My room was immaculate. The bathroom, kitchen and bedroom were spotless. In these times of Covid cleanliness is critical. Everything worked in the room worked perfectly. My only complaint was that the air conditioning was loud, which is not unusual hotels.

Covid is not an excuse for poor customer serviceThis is a difficult review. While we were disappointed in our stay here, the issues we had lie completely with management, and not with the room we were given. We ended up with a very, very nice suite that seem to be recently updated and we enjoyed our room very much. But, there is no excuse for using Covid to shut down the experiences of guests outside of their rooms. We arrived to see that the pool hours, instead of being extended, were cut down. This seems completely counterintuitive, since they are rightfully limiting the number of guests in the pool at a time, by implementing a reservation system. That makes sense. But when you were limiting the number of people that can access the pool each hour, wouldnt it make sense to then extend the pool hours so more guests can enjoy the amenities? Our previous day was spent at a Marriott property which addressed Covid and the questions as to how to handle the pool hours by extending them, not diminishing them. This to me seems like a really good policy. Hotels can be smart and safe but also continue to extend the same amenities to customers that they did prior to Covid. You cant win back customers by taking away things from them and then expect them to pay the same price. We were also disappointed to see that the gym hours were drastically reduced as well. How ridiculous! What is the point? The gym is barely ever occupied as it is, especially in the evening, why bother eliminating hours? Seems like a poor excuse to blame Covid. Finally, we found the breakfast ended at 9 AM! Why in the world does breakfast need to end at 9 AM if theyre handing you a bag of food to go? Instead of using Covid as an reason to expand the hours and extend a simple guest amenity, Home2 Suites stops handing out the bags at 9 AM. So we missed breakfast. If its just food in a bag I dont see why they cant be handed out at the customers convenience. If hotels want to draw customers back post-Covid they need to do a better job than this.

Worst HiltonThe hotel itself is newer. Its clean. Bright. Upon check in staff had their masks under their chins. They didnt explain where the elevators were located. We checked in about 4 pm. When we got up to the room the hall was filled with staff cleaning rooms. There was a smell of sausage in the hallway. No idea why. The room was gorgeous. Clean. We relaxed and ordered dinner. Then the banging started. The walls began to shake from music. The ceiling felt like it was going to come down from all the noise above us. Then it started to smell like cigar and cigarettes. I opened our door and it smelled like the entire hallway had room of smokers. We decided to immediately check out. As we went to front desk six guests standing around without masks. Four staff members and no one says a word. Staff wearing masks under chin. Guests at desk with no masks. Still says nothing. Children running around barefoot. We drove fifteen minutes to Homewood Suites in Providence where we stayed last time. Do not waste your time.

LacklusterSpent almost a week here, and it just wasnt a fantastic experience. Theres a long term tenant with a big dog that you can hear barking throughout the hotel, and the owner routinely hangs out in the lobby without a mask mid-pandemic. Apparently the staff isnt enforcing that rule. My bedroom refrigerator rattled loudly when cooling, waking me up constantly. The beds just arent great at all, not helping with sleeping. The last night I was constantly awoken by the person next door watching a movie or coughing (so paper thin walls) and then an incident with some girls outside my room opening and closing doors, knocking on others, talking, etc at 3am. Granted thats not the hotels fault but it didnt make for a good last impression.
