  Complete value boutique style hotel with helpful staff

  I have just returned from a 3 night vacation in Ekaterinburg. The hotel is located within a short walking distance of Prospekt Lenina (The main street). The building itself is a multi event centre consisting of a dance centre, fitness centre, sports bar, small bar restaurant, beauty salon and of course the hotel. As the previous reviewer quite accurately reported the staff are helpful and friendly. They arranged a guide for me (Luba) who spent 2.5 hours showing me around the city and explaining all the interesting facts about the city. Of course the highlight was The Church on the Blood, the site of the murder of the Tsar and his family in 1918. The guide plus a driver for the whole tour came in at £50 and was in my opinion worth every penny. Anyway, the rooms are well appointed, clean and spacious. My bathroom looked brand new and because the hotel had at this time of year few visitors, they gave me a double room at the same rate. Breakfast can be delivered to your room or taken in the small restaurant and was well presented with a good choice and plenty of it. Overall I was not at all dissapointed with the hotel.

  Style over substance

  Stayed here for one night. Room was large and looked very fresh and stylish. Unfortunately, the curtains were really only for show and didn't block out any light and the room was facing a noisy and busy square. Bathroom was clean and modern. Hotel is situated on 2nd floor of building only accessable up steps to first floor and then lift from there. Restaurant is situated on first floor where breakfast is served. Decent enough breakfast with all the usual suspects. Staff were pleasant, however check in took a while. Given a voucher for a discount at the restaurant downstairs which also doubles as a nightclub, so be aware that the music volume will increase as the night goes on. Hotel is set in a reasonably central location, but is no great shakes to look at from the outside. Would stay again if there again if I had to but would prefer to try somewhere else should I return to Yekaterinburg.

  katerina city hotel

  we loved our stay in this hotel . nice rooms lovely bathroom and buffet breakfast. also within 30 mins we were at the river and even less to visit shops ! we would definately choose this hotel again. also there are shops just across the hotel to buy food drinks etc and next to the football stadium 5 minutes walk away is a pub called the gordons bar which was nice for a relaxed drink they also do food !

  The hotel offers basic rooms on the second floor. To reach the elevator from ground level you have to use the staircase to the first floor. The windowless restaurant where also a very basic choice of breakfast buffet is served is located in the basement. Also in the basement is a beauty saloon where hotel guest get up to 50% discount. Here I got the worst hair cut ever :-(( One evening the shower was only cold water available. After complaint no excuse from the management. Beside that its more than half an hour walking to the city center. But next to the hotel is a Subway restaurant and a shop offering basic supply. Would not stay there again.

  Nice rooms, has parking spaces, location a bit out of the way

  Like many larger Russian cities, parking in Yekaterinburg is difficult so the reserved parking spaces at the front of the hotel are very useful. The hotel is a moderate walk from the centre but is on a main road so it looked possible to get a bus or taxi. There are fast food restaurants and supermarkets close-by. Staff are friendly and the rooms are nice with working wi-fi, though are average value for the price. Visa registration was done without having to ask.
