Beautiful resort, rooms and garden.Great resort in an off the beaten track area. Highlights are the stylish Japanese decor room (sea view is recommended), large onsen with 3 different types of baths and quality skin products and the huge garden/parc (beautiful walk all the way to the seaside). We don't play golf so no opinion on the course. Many other activities but not cheap. Staff was highly limited in English. Overall, a nice stay at a Nemu!

Pamper yourself with great natureAny chance to visit Ise Shima area and Kashikojima, I have been wished to go. Thanks for preserving the great nature around the hotel areas, we stayed with family and fully pampered with. I recommend this hotel especially for the people who can enjoy the atmosphere without bothering yourself as well as family with children. You can enjoy lovely small fire camping outside in the dark everyday with complimentary marshmallow to roast by self and tasty coffee together. Also the hot springs were great for relaxing, clean and neat. However its a pity there is quite distance to get onsen facilities from those rooms and I wonder how disabled people can get there without elevator? Not a few activities are welcoming though you have to be careful with the price as most of things here come with price! As a result we enjoyed nature walk and yoga in the early morning. Dont forget bringing your beautiful yoga wear when you try it or you put your unsophisticated hotel pajamas to help yourself, who care:(!? For the hotel manager, i have two favors at least; #1. it would be much better for non native Japanese if you modify English subtitles correctly or its such shame on literal translation here around. #2. Sometimes it seems lack of Service mindset for hotel staff to your-guests. I was kept waiting to check in for half an hour without care. It was disappointed without doubt and from the beginning I felt so bad impression and this is miserable. Its not economy hotel class with standard service level, classic facilities but you can enjoy beautiful moment to stay in.

FantasticStayed here with my mother for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Was not sure what to expect, partly based on other reviews, however it really surprised us on the upside. The staff were all incredible, yes some of them dont speak fluent English however they all make a monumental effort to communicate, so there really is very little language barrier. The hotel facilities are great, incredibly clean and well presented. The Onsen is divine and doesnt disappoint. There are three Onsen baths to choose from and each is a gem. The rooms are stunning and very well laid out. We had booked a deluxe but opted for a premier deluxe based on the view which was breathtaking and the beds are the best we have slept in for our entire Japan trip. The food is expensive but we are in Japan and everything is. That being said it was absolutely delicious and well worth the cost. We took a cab from the Ugata train station which barely took 10 minutes and cost about ¥2,300. There are lots of beautiful walks nearby, down to the ocean front and along the golf course. Would highly recommend it.

Fantastic resortWe stayed 2 nights for Shima trip. This is fantastic resort with huge properties. We chose this hotel because it seems to offer more activities and size of the properties. It seemed renovated old resorts so I wasn't expected too much, but it turns out great stay. 1. Property Huge property sharing with Amanemu resorts for the part. There are several trails within the properties. Hike to the sunset beach, or hike to the wet lands to the shore, or hike to Marina. Each road was paved and very easy hike but it's so quiet and isolated, perfect getaway if you love nature. 2. Amenities -There's a laundry room. Washer/Dryer was free but you need to purchase soap. It was great features as we are traveling from US, any laundry occasion helps. -Bath: Women's side has huge dressing room with Mikimoto cosmetics. There are 1 wood tub, 1 granite Pearl tub and 1 outdoor tub. Each tub is not that huge but I only see one or two person at a time. 3. Activities -Free activities includes: Free "welcome" drink by the lobby. Orange juice, Honey lemonade, Hojicha and cookies were there all the time. -8pm-10pm there was fire pit outdoor with lounge chairs to see the stars. It was totally isolated and quiet, just the sounds of bugs and birds. Great detachment and we really loved it. They were also coffee and mushmarrows for roasting for free. -Rest of the activities such as Yoga, bike, golf cart, standing paddle, fishing, cruise is with additional charge and very expensive. It was great idea to have activities but I think hotel should reduce the rates by 1/2, otherwise nobody will order them. 4. Room: We had Deluxe Twin room wish comes with lounge area. Twin room was slightly wider than "twin' size. Room was huge. Separate toilet and bathroom with large vanity area. Amazing views of Bay and we really enjoyed. Building seems old, but we were very happy with the layout of the room and quality of linens. Room has 2 sets of Futons for an additional guests. There were lounge wear which can wear to the bath or restaurants and cotton pajamas which helped a lot. 5. Food -We had cheapest Kaiseki package with breakfast. Dinner: Dinner was served at restaurant. Each table had good space in between with very large dining table. Tastefully remodeled throughout and didn't feel old at all. Portion was small but we both got full in the end. Quality of foods were amazing so as presentations and plates. For the 2nd nights they provided different menu for us and it was fantastic dinner. Breakfast has western and Japanese breakfast but I personally enjoyed the Japanese breakfast. Quality of foods are great and we really enjoyed the meal. Overall we were very happy with the service and facilities. It was one of the memorable place to stay. *there aren't many convini or store nearby. I'd highly recommend to get the drinks or snacks before arriving to the hotel. Hotel does not have convini and very limited selection.

Good Place. Shima is beautiful. This hotel is on a huge and beautiful property which you can enjoy in any season. You can get a cart to drive around, nice natural walk and views. The hotel is newly renovated, clean and very nice service. Due to the design of the hotel the rooms have no view. The onsen is OK but not great. Rather small and cold unless you are in the bath. No sauna. Dinner and breakfast is nice. After dinner they have marshmallow cooking outside for the kids. Shima is a beautiful place to visit. We recommend Shima Spain Village amusement park and also Ninja Kingdom Ise.
