  Budget price but exceptional quality rooms

  We stayed in the deluxe 2 bedroom, and we will definitely stay there again. The rooms were all to a high standard. I have stayed at more expensive places, and the rooms were no where near this quality. I stayed there with my 1 year old and teenage son, and the place was very quiet. It had sky, and a court yard.

  Meal at Hotel Taieri restaurant

  Staying in Mosgiel after asking about, we decided to go to the Hotel Taieri for dinner. As an earlier review says 'never judge a book by its cover' and that is because the building isn't the best looking shop in town. The meal was superb, the staff were incredibly polite and helpful (without being intrusive). Reasonable cost. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening there and would definitely go again. Looking are reviews, a great place to stay as well.

  Great place for dinner.

  We are staying in the Mosgiel area and needed dinner so decided to give this hotel a try. A reasonably wide choice on the menu which was served very promptly even though the dining room was rather full.my venison steaks were cooked as ordered and were very nice. My husband had salmon on Israeli couscous with an extra side serving of vegetables which he thoroughly enjoyed. All round very good value.

  Southern hospitality at it's best

  We had a very pleasant stay here for 2 nights whilst visiting our elderly parents. After checking out and as we were waiting for the shuttle to airport we received a call to say that my wifes mother had just passed away. After unsuccessfully trying to find a rental car, I explained to the manager what had happened. He immediately offered us the use of the hotel van for the day so that we could take her husband into the rest home and begin making arrangements. Where else in the world would you receive such an act of generosity and compassion?

  Really dirty

  Not in the best condition, but most surprising was the cleanness. Spiderwebs in every corner. I dropped a few oat-flakes for my breakfast on the carpet, 4 weeks later, they were still there. Worst thing was the internet. Having a 2 bedroom apartment for 2 persons, we had 250MB each a day. Log in is just the room number, so many times some other room would use up our internet, so even though we just arrived back from work, we did not have any connection at all. Not just limited, but also very slow. Come on, it's 2018. No reception, but just the staff in the next door liqueur store. Most of the time, they just asked us to come back later, because they only worked in the store and had nothing to do with the rooms. The restaurant next door is great though.
