West County Farmhouse StayThe lady who runs the guest house does the best she can now she is on her own but the whole place needs a lot of money spent on it as it's been neglected for years and to be quite honest,in this day and age i don't think it would be worth it. It would take year's to recoup the money needed.

Quiet and quirkyClean and old fashioned. Judith who runs the house very kind and thoughtful. Very quiet setting...first sound we heard was the cock crowing in the morning! As one guest has said, a little tired as a property. Comfy beds, generous size bedroom, very clean in all the bits that matter if lacking a lick of paint in less important places. Good value. Some people seem to compare it with a big city hotel, which is inappropriate really. One word of warning: don't use Goggle Map for directions as they're hopelessly inaccurate & get you nowhere near (unless they've fixed it by now). Using a proper map it's easy, down a little lane off the main road, can't miss it.

Not the cleanest, not the most modern - but decent neverthelessWe are family of 4, stayed for one night in two adjacent rooms. It's a quiet B&B, the lady owner tried her best with the breakfast which was quite good. If you don't expect much, this B&B will be perfectly fine. A lovely National Trust village near by with a 20 min easy walk to the local beach.

Gem of a find for familiesWe stayed for 2 nights having booked this last minute for a family break. First impressions on arrival were not great but once we met Judith and were shown our room we were pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and my children loved the fact they had their own room on holiday! The playroom was great and my children (5&8) loved playing with the huge range of toys. The guest kitchen was a nice touch. Breakfast was lovely and there was a big selection. Judith was very attentive and chatty and made us feel welcomed. Yes the place is dated and in need of tlc but if you look passed that and want a family friendly, affordable, comfortable stay then this is your place. We'd definitely stay again.

Traditional, clean & comfortableStayed for 1 night as a base to explore nearby Sidmouth. Lovely traditional b & b . Comfy beds. Our family room was spacious with a double bed and then a separate room with twin beds. Nice powerful shower over bath. Toiletries provided which was nice. Host was friendly and great choice at breakfast. Next to the dining room was a kids play area which I can imagine is brilliant for parents to get a little piece and quiet for breakfast whilst their toddlers play. The outside looks a little untidy and the room decor is dated. The room wifi isn't great but that wasn't important to us. Overall a great place to stay if you're not bothered about everything looking modern.
