  Good place to explore Olomouc

  Very close to the City center, very good restaurant, may be not for 4 stars - I found dust on the door and there is problem with internet connection.

  Nice atmosphere and quality hotel

  Not in the very center but in easily walkable distance (through very nice park) from it. Spacious room(s), clean and calm with nice decor and good standard furniture. Adding good price it gives a very good option to stay while visiting Eastern Czech. Service is good but it lacks a bit more courtesy and proactivity to get excellent note. Free wifi and parking is as always very nice advantage. City is overall very nice, but one weekend only (especially that on the weekends there tend to be local fairs - must be for all who loves bring something very local). However there are some nice small towns to see nearby and Brno to the south that might make you want to stay for longer.

  A piece of Heaven in a wonder "hidden" city.

  I discovered Lafayette for a fortunate case, just because my navigator mistook direction on my trip (from Italy to Belarus). Since that moment Lafayette and Olomouc became a fixed part of my frequent trips to Belarus. What to say? If a diamond is forever, Also Lafayette is. Cozy 4 stars hotel, close to a beautiful park and to the center of a special city. Everything is fine, just the check out isn't....but just because it's difficult to leave such a precious place and such a gentle and professional staff. I hope to come back there soon to introduce to them our new member of the family, after our pet Sofì (who enjoyed it a lot, probably top much...) i hope our son will do the same. Higly recommended.

  Hidden quiet hotel near city center

  Very good hotel near city center with old history. President Vaclav Havel visited this hotel in the past. benefits: disabled access lift near city center old design parking place old style design negative: poor bed mattress with protruding spring cold water in the morning

  Disappointment

  On our way to Jeseníky we stopped here for just one night.. The hotel looked very impressive from outside. When we stepped in suddenly we were back in the year 1994 when the hotel had been renovated. Since that year nothing had changed... Our room was very small, under roof (although we searched for air-condition, we did not find any), furniture was worn out, curtains old fashioned.. bathroom ok and clean. A bulb in a small hall broken, beds not very comfortable (mattresses too thin and old). Maybe it was the only room available and not used frequently - looked more like for servant or hotel stuff. For the price very poor. Breakfast ok, but the breakfast room not ventilated very well so there was unpleasant air ... The breakfast room itself is quite stylish but with all the plastic placemats on tables looses on its luxury look. Hotel employees were nice to us, able to speak English but... did not help, we were glad to leave. Parking lot ok. Wi-fi did not work, too weak signal.
