All we wished for, pure relaxation.Spent a week here in June, in the two bedroomed apartments. The rooms are basic, no air conditioning, but not needed due to the breeze being allowed to run through the property, even in temperatures in the 30°s. Balcony faces the sea, perfect for a shaded breakfast, or watching the amazing sunsets. Spent seven nights falling asleep to the sound of the sea lapping the shores. The restaurant and beach are ran separately to the hotel, each equally as impressive, and anyone complaining about the 20 charge for two sunbeds, an umbrella and chair, need only to walk down the beach into the public areas, to realise how good value this is. In the evenings it was a perfect place to break out from, exploring inner Tuscany. Can honestly say, we will be returning here.

4 days at the giannella lido hotelWell.... Ok... The apartment we had booked was not restored and as a result it was a little old fashioned but ok... The sea is very mediocre.. There is always wind blowing and it makes it difficult to swim in the veryyy shallow waters.. Sand everywhere by the way... The receptionists are all truly helpful and polite. Truly! Thats the best thing of the hotel. Parking also available so ok!!! The fridge in the hotel room didnt function properly.. Through the window there is wind passing even when closed so be careful if u are travelling with kids. Its not very pleasant to sleep while feelinf chilly from the wind blown inside your room.. I have never seen that before.. Ahahahhaha truly.. The point is 155 euros per night with no breakfast is not a good price at all. I could happily pay 90. This is a price for this hotel... Breakfast 7 euros per person . Not good. They offered a very poor breakfast with just biscits and small cornettos.. They could do more than that, but the hotel os not responsivle since the reastaurant has undertakwn this task. So overall, visit this hotel ONLY if u find a special offer.. This is my personal opinion..

it was nicethe hotel is located in a nice beach resort. the rooms have been refurbished and the balcony is heavenly. the room is smallish but once you open the balcony door and step outside it is all worth while. having said that- there were some issues. the wind was so strong that we couldn't really use the balcony. the beach is privately owned by the restaurant owner. it is not allowed to just sit on the beach as a hotel guest. you have to pay for a seat. at leat 20 euros or 30 euros in the front row. but all the seats are booked months in advance. there is no indicaiton of this in the english version of the website. there is a word for this in italian- convenineza, which is a nice way for saying that although you think you can spend time on the beach, you can't. the only option is the public beach- but then again there are no facilities, it is not as clean and it is not as close. other than that, there is no where else to eat other than the restuarnt that owns the beach. we couldn't find a way to pay less than 50 euros for dinner. this is with out starters or desert or coffee. just 2 dishes. so it makes the experience very costly. there is no convenience store anywhere around. only the restaurant. breakfast was served there- and it was all sugary starchy food. cakes, croissants, white bread, jam and fruit. the italians eat this and they all look great and apparantly have no sugar or cholesterol issues. but there is no whole wheat bread, no low fat cheese, no vegetables to be found. i would not return there, i would rent an apparatment and cook for myself and save a lot of money. the region is great, there is a lot to see. i am looking to going back to the area, just not to that hotel.

Good Room , Poor Service; lovely location. We paid 122 Euros in May 2018 for a one night stay; included breakfast. The room was small but satisfactory, sea facing and had a large balcony on top floor of two . Room location was good for us as we are fit but there is no lift so less than accessible for some folks; but great sea view. Service downsides - no coffee / tea facility in the room and the bar was not open; the receptionist gave us water and apologised. It's was a 5 minute drive to the nearest place for food/ drink so no bar service / no room facility was not good. The restaurant /bar is managed by different people to the hotel and there was a lack of cohesion - left hand not knowing what right hand does. The food at dinner was satisfactory but would not repeat the experience. Breakfast was a shambles - coffee in the coffeemaker was tepid, milk was less than fresh but great croissants. The hotel charge 20 Euros/day for 2 sun beds and a brolly ; we didn't bother to hire these but the price seems over the top.
