  Quiet; Clean; Responsive to Needs; Well Located

  A quaint well maintained set of rental rooms/apartments located in Lower Gouves, Crete, Greece, the Mari-Evans apartments were a life saver when we needed to find a place to spend ten days in Aug. We found them to be tranquil, clean, well maintained, and perfectly located, within fifty yards of the main shopping thoroughfare in the sleepy seaside town of Gouves. Although initially the servicing of the room was a bit infrequent, it only took a passing comment from us for the management to thoroughly meet our expectations and even exceed them. This is not a hotel, people should understand. Theres no room service, although there is a clean fairly new pool in the center of the complex. However the linnen was change fresh every day, the fixtures and furniture was dust free, the whole place smells very fresh, and overall we found the staff to be most responsive to whatever we needed. We would very much recommend this place To anyone who needs a place to stay while visiting the wonderful town of Gouves. Make sure however you specify if you need a double bed, or you will get two twins. But really thats a minor point. For the traveler on a budget this will be a satisfying experience.
