  sweet hostess, worth the walk

  Upon arriving in korcula, we had a hard time figuring out directions so a kind local offered to call our apartment and ask for walking directions. Nada the hostess insisted that we stay right where we were and she come drive to pick us up. The apartments are a 5 minute drive or a 15-20 minute walk from the main town and nada offered to rent us bikes for a very cheap rate. The walk is very pretty as it motstly follows the shore into the city and offered some great picture opportunities, especially around sunset. The house has excellent sea views from the balconies and our room was very clean and comfortable, with wifi and a/c both working great. There was also a small beach right around the corner to do some swimming and relaxing. Nada also arranged for a taxi to pick us up very early on our departure date to catch a 6am ferry. After we left, we were very happy to receive an email from nada thanking us for our stay since we left so early and could not said goodbye on our way out. Overall, a great apartment a little outside the city center for a great value with a hostess who will go out of her way to make sure your stay is as enjoyable as possible.

  Great apartment!

  We too got lost upon arrival. Thanks to google maps, be advised that it does not take to the right place at all. Hopefully, after we called our host Nada, she told us that her brother would come pick us up right away, which he did! Very great and welcoming family. Loved the calm neighbour, it is located in a very quiet spot. It does is a small walk from the town, maybe 15 minutes and it is sorta steep. It doesn't kill, but it's worth knowing. Still, we liked walking it since the scenery is totally beautiful ...and for the view we had from the balcony, it was worth all the walk. The apartment was very very clean and roomy a lot. We had a small kitchenette which was also very clean and convenient. Gorgeous balcony with a small table, a sun chair and even an umbrella. They also provide microwave, iron, coffee-maker and some other goods right outside the room available for everyone. The bed was extremely comfortable and the WiFi was really steady for us. Small market nearby was great and so was all the spot you can go swim just down the road. Highly recommended charming and nicely priced apartment not too far from town!

  Worst experience ever

  Stay away from this place. Hosts switched us to a non- sea facing balcony room despite this being a criteria when we booked room and was confirmed by host. In evening. while quietly playing our soft relaxing music at 7:30 pm on our balcony, the host knocked on our door and said their neighbor was complaining they could hear our music. Yet, later that evening while we were on the balcony at 9:00 we were subjected to those same neighbors yelling for over an hour which completely destroyed the ambiance of the evening. We could not even hear our own soft music. When we approached the host about the excessive disturbance their neighbor was creating they were unconcerned and aggressive in their response. Our room had no internet (which was very important for us to have). When questioned, host acknowledged that our room "had problems" with the signal. Only way to get internet was to stand out in the common hall outside our room. Being aware of the Internet problem, they should not be advertising this room as having internet. The hosts clearly did not like the fact that we had complained and the next morning they asked us to leave. We had 2 more nights there but said because we had complained it was their right to not have us there even though we had two remaining nights. The husband barged into our room knocking me over. At this point we feared for our own safety and locked ourselves into our room until we could pack up. As avid world travelers often staying in studio apartments, we would not recommend Apartments Mia. Not only were they dishonest when the advertised the room and it's amenities, the husband and son actually physically assaulted us! We have never had such a horrifying experience like this in our years of travel.

  Vistas impresionantes!

  El apartamento está limpio y muy bien equipado, pero sin duda lo mejor son las vistas (al mar). Es una zona tranquilisima (los propietarios no quitan ni las llaves del coche ni cierran las ventanas). La dueña es encantadora (vive debajo) y tiene detalles al llegar al alojamiento. La única pega que le puedo echar al alojamiento es que no tiene nada para evitar la entrada de luz... ni postigos, que es lo habitual. A las 07.00 entra un sol increible... Pero es un lugar totalmente recomendable.

  Like your auntie's house. But with a view.

  Nada, our host is the most adorable person in all of Croatia. She was so kind as to personally pick us up at the port and show us the city until we arrived at the apartment. The apartment is well-equipped and very clean. Not to mention an amazing view, and a complementary juice carton in the fridge. The only downfall was the location. In order to get to town or the beach, you went through a pleasant, but tiring walk. However, I would definitely return should I go to korcula again. Thank you Nada! Big hug from Brazil!
