  Over night break

  Lovely house in quiet village room was comfy and clean didn't like having to share bathroom with 5 rooms but apart from that it was good tea & coffee in room + shower gel &shampoo could have use of kitchen but didn't need to

  Very affordable, comfortable, low frills

  A very lovely house with a view of an very large oil refinery, over a couple of fields, but still very much the dominant feature on the horizon. The owners live downstairs and have four bedrooms upstairs with a shared bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the room quite clean, with a small tray of complimentary items. The hosts are very easy going, and provide a minimal but sufficient breakfast of toast, cereal, and a few pastries. The location is extremely convenient, almost equidistant from Glasgow and Edinburgh, with the small village of Polmont very close by with a pleasant little pub and a train station with good service. Falkirk is only slightly further away and has most amenities that a town would need. My biggest complaint was that the wi-fi was out during my stay, which is often out of the owner's control but which he didn't seem in a hurry to try and fix, and when I'm in the middle of work it's a huge hindrance. However, for the relative price and comfort of the room -- a comfortable private bedroom for only a little more than a bunk in a hostel would have cost -- it's hard to complain too much.

  Great place to stay in the central belt!

  Convenient for many places on interest in the region, with the Forth crossings in easy reach. Despite being close to major industry, it is located on a quiet country road! Central for Edinburgh, Stirling and lots of local attractions as well. We had a lovely big room and were quite comfortable and made very welcome. The owners were friendly and helpful and keep the house very clean, offering a continental breakfast which was quite adequate for our needs. We were perfectly satisfied with our week stay and recommend Milnholm Manor for value for money, and for a great location.

  Central for visits to both Glasgow and Edinburgh with Falkirk Wheel and Kelpies nearby.

  Our 2nd visit. Mark and Mary are lovely people who are new to the B&B business. Need to maximise what they have. Provide continental breakfast only (perfectly adequate) Downside is that there are no en-suite rooms.... all four have shared use of one bathroom. Rooms themselves are absolutely fine...

  Quiet and comfortable

  We really enjoyed our 3 night stay. The bed was very comfortable and our host accommodated my gluten free diet. Close to the Kinneil estate which is where we were visiting, plenty of parking with a pleasant pub about 15/20 mins walk away. Lovely and quiet location.
