  great location next to the spa hotel grand fratte terme

  We have recently had a couple of days at the missirini. it is great as you can call the hotel and they will collect you with their 7 seater from the station or airport. we paid euro20 for 7 of us. the hotel has a great location next to the 5 * grand fratte terme hotel which has a great spa with natural spa water from the nearby roman spa. we used the spa and it was very reasonably priced and had massage and reflexology treatments (book ahead as the italian doctors send their patients here so it is very busy). the park is undergoing restoration but is still beautiful. TAKE MOSQUITO REPELLENT. the town is very small and quiet but has a few bars and a pizzeria opposite the hotel with a traditiona open pizza oven. it is very helpful to have knowledge of italian language as it is off the tourist track. the town has a lovely outdoor swimming pool with a bar/cafe, play area and football pitch. not enough here to keep you for a long stay, 2 days is enough unless you like walking, i believe the countryside is great. (we have small kids so did not get to check it out.) overall the service, food and cleanliness were fantastic. if you are happy with 3* hotels, go for it. i think i booked on booking.it.com or something similar.

  An extended stay at Hotel Missirini

  We have stayed at Hotel Missirini a number of times for just one night as we have found it a very pleasant stop off venue when either enroute to or returning from Greece. We always get a friendly welcome and our dog, Paddy who travels with us is also welcomed and loves the grounds where there is plenty of space for him to have a good run around and we can enjoy a relaxing drink prior to our evening meal. One can eat a la carte but we like to choose from their menu of the day which offers a choice of three first courses and three second courses as well as freedom to raid their extensive and interesting salad table There are always lots of very interesting and very reasonable wines available. (We love to buy some to take home with us!) Breakfasts, which are included in the room rate are just wonderful, with a wide variety of food including some amazing home made Italian pastries and your choice of coffee etc. made to order. This year we arrived on 19th August but when my husband tried to start the car the next morning we had a serious problem with the clutch so were not going anywhere. The staff at the hotel could not have been more helpful - they helped us arrange to have the car taken to the nearest Volvo garage, they found a room for us, they helped us keep in touch with the garage, arranged car hire and so much more, as well as acting as interpreters for us on a daily basis. They even stored things for us when we had to continue our journey without our car! In the end we were there for a week and we were able to take advantage of our situation by visiting the many lovely places around (as recommended by the lovely Marika!) We hadn't planned to spend a week in Italy but we thoroughly enjoyed our extended stay at Hotel Missirini. We have also had a wonderful stay in their sister hotel, Quel Castello di Diegaro, a very special experience - amazing setting, wonderful restaurants and probably the best pizzas in the world!   Friendly hotel where the staff are happy to help

  This is a 3 star hotel with 5 star staff set in the peaceful village of Fratta. The hotel is clean and the rooms include all that you would expect and need in a hotel. The staff at Hotel Missiri can't do enough to help. They treated my daughter like a princess and when she became ill during our holiday they were keen to help where they could and asked how she was feeling each day. Hotel Missiri is a lovely hotel and I would happily stay there again.
