    Excellent in every respect

    Stayed for 3 nights as part of a larger family group. Very friendly welcome from the owner. Lovely clean and spacious rooms. Ample free parking. Very convenient for Plymouth Hoe / Barbican and Plymouth City centre. Each day set up by a lovely home cooked breakfast ! Highly recommended.

    Another lovely stay

    Stayed 2 nights over the weekend. Check in was easy and staff polite. Our twin room (number 14) was spacious, clean and the bathroom was modern. The beds were very comfortable. We both had cooked breakfast. This was of good quality. 5 star stay.

    Excellent stay again

    Paul and Erica made us very welcome yet again. We love the location, close to the city centre and the barbican at the same time. The rooms are clean and tidy, given the current situation with covid19 some people may be concerned about visiting or interacting with others but all residents are expected to wear masks, breakfast is now brought to your table and residents have to request a time in the room to limit numbers in there.

    Beautiful homely place, former residence of an Admiral.

    Number One is a gem. The couple running it are very welcoming, always cheerful and conversational, always ready to help. Breakfasts are wonderful. Rooms are spacious, high-ceilinged and clean. The building is a short walk from Plymouth Hoe, and it is a pleasure to saunter down and watch the sunset over Mount Edgcumbe. I have stayed on a number of occasions and it is top of my list of places to stay when in Plymouth.

    I spent 2 weeks here recently. Erica and Paul were amazing hosts and went out of their way to accommodate me. The whole house was clean and spacious and the breakfast were delicious! Brilliant area to stay close to all the amenities. I would recommended this established b&b to anyone looking in this area of Plymouth. I will definitely be back in the future. Thankyou too you both.
