Hotel with a THAI twistWe originally booked this hotel because of the nice 'Scandinavian touch' pictures in Bangkok and primarily the location between Suvarnabhumi airport and Don Muang for regional low coast flights. The hotel is located about halfway between, so excellent. WE decided to use the hotel as a hub for a suitcase because of later trip to New Zealand. The first impression is ok, a bit away from the highway, palm tree garden and pool (could be a bit cleaner) and modest rooms but with basically all you need. The harder part is almost nobody speaks English so you have to be a bit creative.. Staff is friendly, American breakfast was top (on a hot sizzling plate!), and the little restaurant just outsidethe hotel (part of Oun) pleased us very much! The hotel is far away from the city centre, so if you are looking for this it is a NO GO, but the quiet location is unique for Bangkok. Wifi works round the lobby, Suggestion : block internet for the staff !!!

Poor customer serviceNone of the reception staff speaks English. When I first checked in, my friend had arrived earlier and I asked for our room number, they didn't understand or didn't care to understand and insisted that I call my friend who was sleeping and mobile was on silent. (I can't call the room phone if I don't have the room number can I?). I ended up trying in vain to call for over 20 mins, throughout which the staff did not invite me to sit down in the lobby, they just happily chatted along themselves. When I finally insisted that I can't be waiting around when I already have a room here, they finally brought me to my room. They also did not explain to my friend which water was payable and which was complimentary - we ended up using the payable one because of their poor directions. The night reception staff was v rude - he wasn't able to understand my question so I showed him the translation on my phone. He took my phone and didn't return it to me until after I asked for it back three times. When I was trying to understand the bill, he was incredibly dismissive and just insisted that I pay when I don't even understand what I'm paying for. He went back to doing his own thing and refused to give me my room key (which we had left with reception) until I paid despite not knowing what the bill was for. (And I wasn't even checking out yet + the hotel already had my credit card details, it's not like I'm going to be running away in the middle of the night.) My friend's bag had many ants in it overnight as well, despite not having any food in the bag. Only amenities are towels, soap, shampoo and toothbrush. No room slippers. Toilet had a huge water damage mark on the ceiling. No housekeeping. You get what you pay for, the room is cheap, but service can be massively improved. At the very least, don't be rude to your guests.

DissapointedI did stay there for several times during my last business trips in Bangkok. Problems happened in most of my stays but my last stays on Apr 10th, 2018 was extremely terrible. The light bulb burnt out, no hot water and everything's not been fixed even when the problems were informed to receptionists several times. It was very bad since I came back the hotel at night, after a long working day and I had to use such cold water to take a shower. I had to wait till next day to change the room and still no hot water. The hot water seems to be only available just when you ask the receptionists and they only allow you to take a shower with hot water in around 5' and then cut off, you have to use cold water then. It was very annoying! Besides, my last stay was a 4-night stay but the room's only cleaned once, they just ignored my requests.

Close to Banchamek gymCute little place away from the hustle & bustle of the city but theres a brothel right next door & they use the rooms of the hotel, you see allot of girls coming in and out of the rooms most nights & you can hear them too. We stayed here as it was close to Banchamek gym & had a pool but still without a scooter it was too far out.The pool looks really dirty did not use it once, the staff are really friendly & breakfast was nice but yeah the whole brothel and the loud noises at night became really annoying...

Only 5 Minutes! Not again. After 5 minutes we left the hotel. Green Pool and a dirty room who would love an maintenance. You can book a room for 3 hours (...) no words needed. Please stay away. Right from the hotel is a Club who looks like a "special" Club.
